Request reason:

Your reason here : Hi, I've been blocked for advertising or self-promoting, and actually I don't promote any company or so, I'm currently making a wikipage with my group at school and the current text on our page https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Sparx_Video_Game is about to be totally rebuilt and retyped when we will be able to edit our page. We do not want to promote this company but just describe it and relate it with other companies of its kind on wikipedia. We want to build a page which fits every rules of wikipedia in order to be published online. Sincerely, Constantinpro (talk) 3:09 pm, Today (UTC+0)

Accept reason:

I have unblocked your account; it seems to me that you are indeed trying to create an article with your school. However, there are multiple issues with your submission, which will need to be addressed before it can be put into Wikipedia. For the time being, I am moving the article into your userspace so that you can work on it; it can be found and edited at User:Constantinpro/Sparx (video game). Please don't put it back into the main article space without getting it reviewed first; doing so is liable to see your account reblocked. Yunshui  15:23, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay Constantinpro, here's how it works. First up, as I said above, do not recreate the article again. It's been deleted several times; if you carry on sticking it indiscriminately into article space, you're going to get blocked again. Instead, work on the draft at User:Constantinpro/Sparx (video game) to address the following issues:

  • Neutrality. Wikipedia has to be written in a neutral tone.
  • Notability. It looks as though Sparx has probably received enough coverage to pass the basic requirement for inclusion, but that needs to be demonstrated in the article.
  • Verifiability. If you say something like, "The video game, however, helped more kids recover from their depression" then you need to cite the study that proves that fact, right after saying it.

I'm going to go over to your draft now and add some notes to help point you in the right direction. Yunshui  15:32, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sparx video game requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. A tag has been placed on Sparx video game, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Last chance

[edit]

I gave you the benefit of the doubt when I unblocked you, provided you with notes on your draft to help you improve it, and warned you against recreating the article without addressing the issues raised. Today you have shunted the page - unaltered - back into article mainspace again. I have deleted it; understand that if you recreate the page again in that way you will be blocked indefinitely. Here is your draft, with notes on how to improve it. At the top of the page is a box which says, "Finished? Submit the page!" When and only when you have dealt with the numerous problems with the draft, and have removed my comments, you may press that submit button (which will send the article for review) - you can also, if you wish, ask me or another established editor to review the page for you.

Again, I can't stress this enough: if you create the page again in its current format, you can expect to be blocked again - hell, I'll do it myself. We are here to help, but we won't tolerate damage to the encyclopedia. Yunshui  13:03, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
