Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. Thank you. Alexf(talk) 20:41, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

This account was created at least 9 years ago with no issues. I will admit, this is a company account, but we only edit the information on our related pages. CongregationOfMarians (talk) 21:01, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

We don't allow shared accounts. You've also been violating WP:COI (but don't worry, it's fairly easy to disclose this). Finally, this account was created less than an hour ago, not 9 years ago. See: Special:Log/CongregationOfMarians. Yamla (talk) 21:04, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Firstly, as you have been editing here for nine years but this account was only created today, what account name have you been editing under? Secondly, we require your assurance that if you are unblocked this account will be accessible by only one person. Thirdly, you need to read and thereafter act upon the policy laid down in conflict of interest. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:40, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The account is at least 9 years old, but the last time I made changes was maybe 5 years ago. I do not see any history in my account, so I am assuming Wikipedia does something to inactive accounts? Or there was some kind of reset during that time? And can I please have 1 of the previous administrators (Alexf, Yamla, Anthony Bradbury) act as point person with me to help guide me through this process? Please think of me as the proverbial little old lady who drives her car once a week to church.
