[edit]Hi Confunxion! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Tupac Shakur several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Tupac Shakur, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 20:23, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
Hi

Tupac Photo
[edit]Can we change the photo of Tupac to one closer to his later appearance? There is a photo of him in a suit at the back of his poetry book that work well. He is a well-regarded figure and influence for many people. Just seems he deserves a better representation. 12.154.109.58 (talk) 05:31, 20 September 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Knitsey. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Tupac Shakur have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. About citations
[edit]At Tupac Shakur you asked this question: "It don’t understand should I include citation’s now? Like references." The answer to that can be found in some of the most basic of Wikipedia's policy and guidelines including of the fundamental 5 pillars, Pillar #2 includes the text: "All articles must strive for verifiable accuracy with citations based on reliable sources, especially when the topic is controversial or is about a living person." I suggest you spend some time reading over WP:RS, WP:VERIFY, and WP:CITE. Let me know if you have any questions about these basic policies and guidelines. You can also ask at the WP:Teahouse. --David Tornheim (talk) 07:21, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
Changes to something you have added
[edit]At Tupac Shakur you also asked this question: "why is it that someone changes the accurate description of Tupac that I have provided...." When editors disagree with any content you add, delete, or change, they are free* to revert or revise--in the same way that you were allowed to make the change you had made. When there is disagreement, however, don't keep reverting back. Instead it's best to follow the WP:BRD process.
- *When I say they are "free" to do so, there are plenty of exceptions for inappropriate and/or disruptive changes. They do need to be able to explain a legitimate reason if asked.

May 2024
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Tupac Shakur. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 20:57, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
