[edit]In the guidelines posted as reasons for declining, it is suggested you go to Referencing for beginners. Your article is completely missing references and includes inline URLs, which are not allowed as they can be mistaken for wikilinks. This shows you exactly what you need to do. It also talks about the necessity of needing a variety of sources instead of a link to google books, and the fact that you should cite the book itself and not a google books URL.
It may not be stated directly but you do want to mention death instead of departure. Ambiguity is not a good trait for an encyclopedia to have.
