- Thank you for the feedback, I agree my edit was not constructive enough and will keep in mind from now on Comppanda (talk) 20:19, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Competitive programming. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. You are adding sources that are not appropriate. Please ask the editors at WP:TEAHOUSE for advice before doing this again. Julietdeltalima (talk) 18:39, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the feedback, the Amazon link was actually there by a previous editor and I had reverted to it from a link of PDF which led to a site which was not secure. But now I have changed it so it goes to a link at the Internet Archive, which is the same link for the book in bibliography on Wikipedia page of Steven Skiena, which I think is appropriate. The online platforms I have added have relevant problems pertaining to sphere of competitive programming and in extension problem solving, one of which was there previously too before being deleted, and both of which are free to use and no additional pricing or charges. Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. --VVikingTalkEdits 21:39, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- How is added useful resources promoting or advertising material? There were also multiple other platforms and online judges which were there before and then taken down. What was the reason for it? These platforms are being used by students for competitive programming and problem solving in universities across the world, there are online judges which are prominent to one region or one type of problems, it doesn't make them less valid.
