Hello, Commtel Networks. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may need to consider our guidance on conflicts of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 08:15, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer instead to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you prefer to change your username rather than create a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Request reason:

Hi, Rschen7754. I am new to Wikipedia and learning ways to create and sustain an informative page representing my company. I understood that the account blocked by you was done under certain guidelines of not entertaining any organization and or its website. Hence complying to the guidelines set by Wikipedia, requesting you to accept my 'rename' and 'unblock' request of the account created by me. Thanks and RegardsCommtel Networks (talk) 07:18, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

One request at a time, please. Max Semenik (talk) 16:07, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do you understand that should you be unblocked, you will not be allowed to promote your organization or any of its products on this site? --Rschen7754 07:44, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You clearly misunderstand what Wikipedia is. Wikipedia is not a business directory. You should not be editing your company's article, per our conflict of interest policy, and your actions are truly promotional even though you claim that they are not. I recommend a decline to the reviewing admin. --Rschen7754 10:05, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I only want to have an informative entity of my company on Wikipedia and don't need to promote it in any way. Our page was there on Wikipedia for more than two years and in that time no one took any objection whatsoever it might be. It's just that after a couple of valid changes made to the page (more to stick with Wikipedia's guidelines)it has been deleted and the account which i created was blocked. We are only trying here to have a presence on a 'globally relevant' social platform . Requesting J04n and Rschen7754 to please consider our situation and help us (starters) to know better the medium and propagate through information sharing.Commtel Networks (talk) 10:00, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

From your continued use of "we" and statements like "it's just another medium to let people know and understand better what Commtel does", it's clear that you're here to further your employer's goals, not those of Wikipedia. Max Semenik (talk) 16:07, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting you once again to review our plea and give us a chance to rectify things and make it as per the guidelines stated in the 'conflict of interest policy'. Even after the changes if you feel the content is promotional you can go ahead with your decision. Hence, please unblock the account and send approval to the reviewing admin (J04n)Commtel Networks (talk) 11:49, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please keep in mind that your next unblock request will be your last. --Rschen7754 18:08, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
