Recast in the form "positive negative" ?
[edit]Hi Colin,
I admire what you're aiming to do, and I think it needs doing. But I must admit, the current version lacks the bite of WP:YWAB. I wonder if it would work better as a series of statements formatted like this:
- Wikipedia requires the subject of an article to be notable. It cares nothing for the opinions of the subject, or for whether they have given their approval for an article.
- Wikipedia bases its articles on what independent sources have said about the subject. It cares nothing for what the subject, or their employer, or members of their family, have said about them.
- When Wikipedia decides whether an article meets its standards, it bases its decision entirely on the content of the article. It takes no account of any other substandard articles which still unfortunately exist.
