[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to 4 (Beyoncé Knowles album), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Also, before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 04:25, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi there. I wonder could you explain what your intentions were in your recent edits at this article, particularly by making this edit? Thanks . Martinevans123 (talk) 19:22, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
Well I was trying to remove Elton John from the King of Pop bracket it's ridiculous I believe to include him in that category for having been called the King of Pop once whereas Michael has been called King of Pop thousands of times since the 80s. yes the media does give the same titles to other artists but there is no basis for it and when asked most would say MJ is the King of Pop it is also trademarked by his estate so really only MJ should be in that bracket (King of Pop).
- Thanks for your reply. It does always help if you give an edit summary for your edit which explains to other editors what you are doing. I'm afraid the article currently makes no distinction between frequency of citations - just one, from a WP:RS, is deemed enough. So to remove Elton John on that basis is just your own personal opinion. But, by all means, make a suggestion at the Talk Page for better criteria. The point about trademarks is also an interesting one and that could be usefully discussed. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 08:43, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Dan56. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Thriller (album), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! Self-published sources such as fan sites and personal web blogs are not considered reliable. Dan56 (talk) 02:25, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
