Userbox count

I found the numbers of users using the various userboxes (a little too much alliteration there) by using AWB. I change the Make List feature to "What transcludes here" and embed "User:Nehrams2020/Userboxes/Blues Brothers" for example and then click "make list". Once it finishes loading, I go to filter and only check "User" and then I use that number. I'm sure that I'm off by a couple as some people's user pages may have the template if they are just making lists of different kinds of genres of userboxes (for example, listing all of the movie userboxes that exist on Wikipedia). But altoghter, this is the easiest way of doing it. I used to handcount it by just looking at "what transcludes here", but this program makes it much easier. --Nehrams2020 22:46, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Then I hope to start doing a lot more GA reviews over the summer break. My goal is to somehow organize a way for all of the reviewers to eliminate the backlog over the break. Thank you for the medal, I really appreciate it when the work I put in is recognized as well done. I do have some awards, I just display them on a subpage, along with other recognitions. GAC backlog elimination drive

Thank you for your offer. I would like to get a free image of the actual camp ground, if Scouts and tents are on it, even better. Also, we could use an image of the memorial stone up close, clear, and readable, the only free one we have is blurry. If you make your images PD or GFDL you can store them on wikicommons even if they are not in an article. If you don't have a commons account and don't want to get one, I could load them for you. I only found one of you new images on wikicommons of the stone. Can you list me the actual stone image names so I can click to them? Your GA review of Raising of school leaving age

Firstly, many thanks for taking the time to review it. I was hopeful that a review would mostly disregard it being specific to the UK (as that is, and now has been, easily changed) and focus more on its content, layout/style etc, which you have done. I appreciate you explaining in detail your reasons which may allow make any necessary changes to be made, or allow me to seek further advice as per suggested, as opposed to an unhelpful brief. Although some of the "Original research" points you have raised have sources to go with them, on a few, which I admit lack of thoroughness, haven't been referenced with the respective source which is in fact present in the references section. You mention about a graph which I admittedly copied from an external source, that being the work of the UK Government. Could you correct or confirm for me if work of the UK (or any) Government, particularly of this nature, falls into fair use for Wikipedia? Above all, I felt it was a very fair review and I respect the decision you made with regards for your reasoning given. Bungle44 19:34, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Brownsea aerial

I'm dropping this by LordHarris and Wimvandorst. I would like to know EXACTLY where the original camp is on Brownsea, I know it is west of the castle and in the southwest corner, but not exactly where. I THINK it is on the coast of the island. Can either or both of you go here, on my flickr site (also Rlevse), download the image, and mark in red or yellow the boundaries of the original camp site? If you happen to be on Brownsea during the centenary in a few weeks could you take pic of Scouts having fun and active doing things? A pic of the original campsite with tents or Scouts thereon doing something fun would be great too. Hi. I agree, the first paragraph was interminably awkward, and when I said "See if you don't like it better", I guess I was trying to solicit opinion on whether or not I'd fixed it. Sorry if that came out the wrong way. I also agree that "Prime Minister of the United Kingdom" is more important than any of the other roles, but it would be just as strange to put PM second as it would be to say he was a British politician after saying he was a PM. I'd support a second sentence option, something like "...was a British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. He was a noted statesman, soldier in the British Army, orator, and strategist." Any better? -- Thesocialistesq/M.lesocialiste 21:22, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
