Hey

[edit]

Thanks for voting on the Merit badge types (BSA) FAC. Now you're not a "cherry boy". Rlevse 19:11, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Editing

[edit]

One generally puts short notes about why they edited something in the "Edit Summary" below the edit window. These comments will show in the history list. Talk pages for an article are for longer, more verbal discussions. PS: new talk entries go at the bottom, not the top, of a page and should have a header.Rlevse 15:15, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User SaintCliff

[edit]

(pasted from my talk page to Coffeeboy's) Hah! I just noticed that you have User SaintCliff on your userpage. Are you a Cheers fan too? Staxringold 16:52, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, my best buddy and I at work User:Coffeeboy, is a Cheers fan too. He and I made the userbox (his idea, my code). I voted for your Cheers fac too. Nice to work with you. Rlevse 16:55, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. I made a semi-serious proposal at Wikipedia talk:Mascot, if you're interested. Maybe the three of us should propose it on a more widely read page like the Village Pump? Staxringold 17:08, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rlevse 17:10, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I put him up on meta:Wikipedia_mascot! Staxringold 19:20, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is up for FAC, you haven't commented....?? Rlevse 12:28, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PS, I also found a 5000 edits user box, I'm up to over 6800.Rlevse 12:29, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Vote on Ultraviolet map

[edit]

Hi I was thinking about taking this whole merge discussion in an entirely different direction. Instead of merging the info on the poorly named Ultraviolet map into the unfocused The DHARMA Initiative. How about we expand on Silentplanet's idea and create sub sections on known Hatches?

Remember the "The DHARMA Initiative" article is supposed to focus on what it is. Adding more information to "the Swan" only shows that this hatch should be expanded upon in another article. The title of this article after all is not "The DHARMA Hatches." To me it looks like we should put in some information about what exactly the DHARMA Initiative is. We should give some history on it maybe include the information on the film and then some brief information about the hatches and what they are. Hatches that we know more about like "The Swan" should have its own page that would then contain information such as "the Map", "The Timer", etc... I think that this is a more reasonable solution and would also make it a more logical solution as an encyclopedia article. Please let me know what you think (in your talk page)! And if you do agree please note that on your merge vote! Thanks -- UKPhoenix79 04:01, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Some moron has put Saint Cliff up for deletion. Go to your user boxes, click on the link that's in the notice above the SaintCliff box to fight it. Rlevse 12:39, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Eagle Scout Peer Review

[edit]

I listed the Eagle Scout article for a formal peer review a few moments ago in the hope in about 2 weeks to list it as a FAC. Based on my experience with other FACs and one of my own successful FAs, I think there are two things people may object to: a) is the lead long enough? and b) are there too many lists? Please think these issues over. Thanks for all the help, Randy. YIS, Rlevse 11:46, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Christian Forums vandalism

[edit]

Thanks for your comments to 198.53.202.126. I've tried to work with him and reason with him, even explaining how he can use Wikipedia legitimately, but he persists on spamming a variety of articles on people or organizations that he doesn't like. I've succeeded in having him blocked four times so far, but he returns to spamming as soon as the block is over. If you ever manage to catch him, be sure to report him. --Cswrye 16:57, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. He runs a forum that is pretty hostile to most people that don't agree exactly with him. Coffeeboy 20:37, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP Christianity

[edit]

Hi, I saw your name on the WikiProject Christianity Membership page.

I've made some changes to the WP Christianity main project page, added several sup-project pages, created a few task forces section, and proposed several more possible changes so that we can really start making some serious progress on the project. Please stop by and see my comments on the project talk page here and consider joining a task force or helping out with improving and contributing to our sub-projects. Thanks for your time! Hi

[edit]

I know this might be odd...but I'm new and was wondering how you acquire some of those userboxes...like the one about ancient civilizations? I would just like to add a few more to my page; that is showcase my interests. Any help would be appreciated!

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Uspslogo.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Uspslogo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:28, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:50, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!
