Speedy deletion nomination of Alejandro Villanueva (American Football)

[edit]

Hello Codreezy,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Alejandro Villanueva (American Football) for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, Alejandro Villanueva (American football) If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Wgolf (talk) 21:47, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I changed Alejandro Villanueva (American Football) to a redirect

[edit]

Since there was a page for Alejandro Villanueva (American football) already, so yep! Wgolf (talk) 21:54, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey its cool they both looked good-I was not sure what to do as they were both were made at the same time-and hey don't stop making articles! Wgolf (talk) 00:37, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I merged the two articles. Candleabracadabra (talk) 00:49, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
hey Candleabracadabra (talk) or Wgolf (talk), do either of you know how to remove the re-direct tag from the Alejandro Villanueva article, thanks to Candleabracadabra for "Merging" the two articles with the original format I created, Wgolf added the re-direct tag prior that originally linked the former and the one I created and I just wan't it to look even more professional and better with that off the article.

I have OCD and also suffer from Perfectionism it's just bothering me,..LOL

since I am kinda inexperienced with Wiki I will go ahead an let either of you do that job since I don't know how

The actual article is at Alejandro Villanueva (American football). If you go to Alejandro Villanueva (American Football) (capital F in football) you will be redirected to the article's page. In other words the (American Football) page is now just a redirect page to the actual article. Does that make sense? There is no "redirect tag" at the top of the article. It only shows up when you are redirected to an article from a page at a different name (a redirect page). I hope that makes sense? Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Joe Judge (American football), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Coordinator. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Capitalization per MOS

[edit]

Hi, Codreezy. I wanted to give you a head's up: per MOS:CAPS, we use sentence case capitalization, which means we only capitalize the first word of a sentence, article title, section header, or a phrase or fragment that appears in an infobox data field -- unless individual words are proper nouns like the name of a person, place or organization. That means we capitalize "Doug Pederson" and "Philadelphia Eagles," but not player positions such as "quarterback" or coaching titles like "defensive coordinator".

Please also note that we do not include NFL division title among the career highlights for players. If you're seeing them in other articles, please remove them. Thanks. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 19:52, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

Hello, Codreezy. This edit should not have been marked as a minor edit:

Checking the minor edit box signifies that the current and previous versions differ only superficially (typographical corrections, etc.), in a way that no editor would be expected to regard as disputable. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if the edit concerns a single word, and it is improper to mark such an edit as minor.

Hello, I'm A guy saved by Jesus. Your recent edit to the page DeMarco Murray appears to have added premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been removed for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 15:17, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mingus Reedus article

[edit]

Hello, I’ve just read this article and I'm a bit concerned that the person doesn't seem to be notable enough to qualify for a Wikipedia article.

Basically, the issue is that they only seem to be known for being related to someone famous, which means they'd probably be better off just being mentioned on those people's article. Are there any extra independent citations to reliable sources you can add on things they're notable for independently of their relatives? The article may get deleted otherwise. If so just edit the article and add citations using the cite tool, or if you have any thoughts or questions just let me know. Blythwood (talk) 21:41, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Walker Stalker Con requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. shoy (reactions) 20:32, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Taylor Morton

[edit]

The article Taylor Morton has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails general notability requirements as well as requirements for athletes.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hirolovesswords (talk) 21:45, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Codreezy. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Montrell Teague, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Montrell Teague to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, TonyBallioni (talk) 18:19, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Codreezy. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Montrell Teague, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Just posting this hear because you noted that he was a family member of yours. Please be sure to review our relevant conflict of interest policies and guidelines. Ways to improve Montrell Teague

[edit]

Hi, I'm TonyBallioni. Codreezy, thanks for creating Montrell Teague!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The original deletion tag I placed was because the article had no sources. By adding a reliable source it is no longer eligible for that. I don't have an opinion as to his notability. I've tagged the page for COI per your message on my talk page.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. TonyBallioni (talk) 18:34, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
