LoZ minor edits

[edit]

Hi there, I noticed that you recently made a lot of minor edits to the Legend of Zelda article. I definitely support making any article better, even by the smallest changes; however, I unfortunately don't feel that many of your edits are actually improvements. Often times you elaborate more than is necessary, or else omit previously helpful words. Understand that I have no problem with your work in theory, only with the results when compared to the previous work.

I'd be glad to discuss any specific instances that you feel should be changed, whether on the article's discussion page, or elsewhere. Thanks, Zixor 09:28, 20 July 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Zixor 08:02, 25 July 2007 (UTC). Hey again; I continue to have many dislikes with your many revisions, a problem which I haven't yet encountered during my editing. I'm frustrated, as I nearly always disagree with your choices, though I have little desire to promote a scenario where each of us continues to revert back to their preferred edit. Therefor, it's probably best that we resolve even minor issues, through discussion. I'm not sure where the best place for this is, but my feeling is that it can remain here unless or until it requires the input of others, at which time it can be moved to the article's talk page.[reply]

In the meantime, I'd ask that you please use more descriptive titles for your edits, to better differentiate between them and identify specific alterations, as they are so numerous. Zixor 08:02, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I feel that most of the corrections I make are strictly for readability, i.e. punctuation or spelling errors, or for clarification (such as changing one word to make it sound, at least to me, like it makes more sense). At the same time, I realize my style of writing is rather unique and, as such, if it's simply a matter of you don't like the way I write, that's understandable, but I would certainly be happy to keep up the discussion here and/or give some detail as to the nature of the changes that I make. I'll start being more thorough, therefore. Thanks for your feedback. cocoapropo 19.02, 27 July, 2007

Edit Summary

[edit]

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Overworld. Thank you.

--

People tend to assume that edits made without an edit summary is vandalism, so they will always check to see what was done and try to figure out the reason. There are others who scan the recent edits looking for changes without an edit summary as a means to detect vandalism. By explaining what you did and why is not only a good idea, but it saves people time. -- wrp103 (Bill Pringle) (Talk) 15:42, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try to be better about that from now on.Cocoapropo 00:55, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you meant to leave a comment Alison's talk page. I moved it to the right place. Good luck getting your article back. :) --SesameballTalk 04:19, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am working on improving Zelda II: The Adventure of Link to Featured Article status and noticed that you have made substantial contributions to the article. If you have time, I would be delighted if you could help with this endeavor. Thanks in advance! Gary King (talk) 21:30, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
