ypsilanti, michigan
I am trying to add nick ashford to the notable people from ypsilanti and you keep erasing it.
He meets the criteria for being listed. What is your problem?
why are you deleting nick ashford from notable people? He is from ypsi and met the criteria. If i am doing it wrong, feel free to make corrections. But, to delete what is correct is irresponsible and plain ignorant. Babytutta85. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Babytutta 64 (talk • contribs) 13:04, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

Can you like stop
In all honesty, you don't know Just Dance 2014 and they have no sources so stop reverting them, false positive is the most idiotic reason ever, reported for bullying. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.198.189.19 (talk) 14:23, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hello IP
- You are probably not aware but you are messaging a Wikipedia Robot and not a human. I am guessing that the robot reverted you because of the huge chunks of text you removed from the article. If this is wrong please report it as a false positive like ClueBot NG suggests and we can then train the robot.
- Also, when you say "reported for bullying" please remember to assume good faith. Everyone can make mistakes - including robots. 5 albert square (talk) 16:39, 5 July 2014 (UTC)

Empty index?
Hello!
When I click on the Index link on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Quebec, it is empty. How can I fix this? - Sweet Nightmares 15:15, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) The issue was that the
|archiveprefix=
was incorrect and had been from the point it was first entered in 2010. This caused the archive page to be created in the default location and the indexes to be erroneous. I have corrected the|archiveprefix=
and moved the archive page to the correct location. The indexes should be correctly generated the next time ClueBot III runs on the page. — Makyen (talk) 17:25, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
ClueBotNG Logs
(crosspost from User_talk:DamianZaremba)
Hi, Damian helped me out some time ago with the Logs of all the vandalism caught be CBNG: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:ClueBot_Commons/Archives/2011/May#Cluebot_NG_API_.28or_Logs.29
Back then he gave me an XML File with all the vandalism CBNG has and would have caught --> "... xml "reverted" will only be 1 if ClueBot reverted the edit, it does not take into account if it was beaten or not so if the edit was reverted before ClueBot attempted it it would still be set to 0. I've updated the XML dump with another flag called Beaten which reflects if ClueBot couldn't revert the edit due to being beaten by another user. Also yes 1.0 is the highest the ANN will score at (the range is 0 - 1)."
I've advanced with my research and could really use an updated version of that log-dump, could anyone provide me with such? Also let me know how I should cite you guys if this makes it into a publication.

I apologize for such a short message. One of my recent edits to The Elder Scrolls has been undone. The elder scrolls trome is rumored later this year. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smosh Fan 394 (talk • contribs) 03:52, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- @Smosh Fan 394: You are aware that a robot reverted your edit, right? And this edit by you removed a large portion of content, which is commonly found in vandalism edits, so the bot reverted. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 23:30, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
False positive
This edit by ClueBot is a better candidate for the charge of "vandalism" than is the one that it reverted. If any user that was not a bot were to do the same edit that was done by ClueBot in this instance, I'd be inclined to call it vandalism.
I think ClueBot is clueless about edits to mathematical notation. ClueBot leaves notices saying that it gets very few false positives. But I've never seen an edit by ClueBot that is not a false positive. Might there be some way to program ClueBot to stay away from mathematical-notation edits? Michael Hardy (talk) 23:18, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
- @Michael Hardy: It's possible mathematical notation isn't in CBNG's corpus, so CBNG thinks it's a new kind of vandalism and reverts it. Though Cobi and Crispy1989 have been fairly quiet recently, and the false positive review interface has been quiet as well, with no new members able to join. This may take a while, at least until the bot operators come back to tend to their famous and well-known bot. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 23:30, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

New archive
I have read through the documentation but I can't find an answer, or maybe I'm just unable to decipher the technical speak, but I can't figure out how to get the bot to run its first archive. I just added it to Wikipedia talk:Quebec Wikipedians' notice board. What am I missing? - Sweet Nightmares 17:39, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
- @SweetNightmares: it can take several days for the bot to start archiving. --Mdann52talk to me! 10:41, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
ANN Score
I'm totally confused by this whole thing. ANN score with a bunch of numbers? What does it even mean? Corruption Watchsheltie (talk) 02:32, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- ClueBot NG is a bot whose goal is to detect and revert vandalism quickly and automatically. You can find information about how it works at the bot's user page and Frequently Asked Questions. – Wdchk (talk) 04:04, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- It's explained here, specifically. It's the output of an artificial neural network machine learning algorithm, you can interpret the score as a probability and edit is vandalism (from NG's perspective), above a certain threshold it'll be reverted. benmoore 01:15, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
My edits being marked as vandalism.
I've already discussed my edit to samaria in the talk page. I only made one edit and it was valid. Please undue the "vandalism" attributed to me. 2601:D:9580:E47:5D2F:3438:15DF:C6B (talk) 00:17, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
- You've made edits to a page under active arbitration remedies, I'm not sure what you were trying to do (e.g.) and this edit appears to break the reference markup but may have been a simple mistake rather than vandalism. An earlier warning from NG was also not due to vandalism per se but the "citation needed" tags you see are generated through template:cn (by adding: {{cn}} rather than writing directly to the article). If you're new to editing the teahouse is a great venue to ask questions and can help prevent further frustration. benmoore 01:10, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
Make the bot request protection of a page if it has to revert several vandalism edits on it
I'd like to propose that the bot should automatically request protection of an article if it has to revert more than three vandalism edits on it from two or more users in a 24-hour period. In the current system, the user has to look at the page history if the bot has reverted many edits from different users, and then manually request page protection at WP:RPP. If vandalism comes three times from the same user, the bot's current behavior (AFAIK) is to report the user on WP:AIV. However, if vandalism comes from multiple users on the same article, it should automatically request that the page be semi-protected. Gparyani (talk) 16:58, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

Why did I get this message?
I'm not a member of Wikipedia, I just like to read. The message states that I made an edit in 2009 on Ephedra when I don't even know what Ephedra really is! I copy and pasted the message I got below when I came to this site:
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Ephedra, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you believe there has been a mistake and would like to report a false positive, please report it here and then remove this warning from your talk page. If your edit was not vandalism, please feel free to make your edit again after reporting it. The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Ephedra was changed by 68.99.22.179 (u) (t) replacing entire content with something else on 2009-03-03T23:54:44+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot (talk) 23:54, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

- Your connection to the Internet is identified by an IP address (i.e. 68.99.22.179) assigned by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). However, in your case you don't get assigned the same address every time you connect. This means that someone else was assigned this address back in 2009, it was that person who made the edit that appeared to be unconstructive, and the message you saw was intended for that other person. It's nothing personal addressed to you, and you can just ignore it. Thanks for your interest in Wikipedia! – Wdchk (talk) 06:46, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

Edits on page Schubert reversed
My edits have been reversed. It wasn't vandalism. In countries where last names have prefixes, it is customary to capitalize the prefix when the first name is omitted. E.g., when you speak of Jan van Dijk, the "van" is lower case, but when you use the last name without the first name, the "Van" is uppercase. It's Jan van Dijk and Van Dijk. This has nothting to to with nobility. Please restore my edits. They were correct. Barbara Touburg (talk) 16:36, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
