Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Christopher M. Garrity. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Shadow311 (talk) 20:39, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Shadow311 thank you for your patience and assistance! I have made significant edits. I noticed that there is an open domain photo of this person on the third party candidate page here in wiki it will not allow me to upload the public domain photo due to this. Do you know how to attach the photo? Clown Atlas (talk) 00:12, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Are you available for assistance with my Garrity draft? I feel that I addressed the issues that were first presented very thoroughly per the suggestions provided by you and Shadow. The next reviewer commented and sent it back highlighting what should be removed and I did, along with more I felt may appear "Peacocky". The next reviewer brought back the original issues of news sources, official government websites, Wikipedias own mention of him with photo under the third party and independent candidates. He is the only candidate in history that has taken this approach including all the way back to Lincoln who is officially on the ballot and has gained access to majority votes in over 14 states. His name is on the ballot next to Trump, Harris, and RFK Jr. who has since withdrawn, and he is also the youngest person to run with his earliest eligibility date being March 16, 2024 another notable thing about this individual. I will stress again. I do not work for this person, have never met this person, I only learned of them unsolicited with the internet algorithm gaining my interest at this anomaly in the political world. I plan on making more pages on others that are also notable when I get this draft taken care of, that I also have never met. I wanted to create the pages for the same reason everyone else does. To document things important that you witnessed in history and leave a chicken scratch somewhere. Any help with making my chicken scratch happen is very much appreciated! 🙂😊 Clown Atlas (talk) 17:14, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mark! Hope your day is going well! Just wanted to make sure that I am understanding the purpose of Wikipedia and unbiased information. This person is notable for multiple reasons. Youngest person running in the US elections in a landmark election, only person without a campaign of kind beyond door to door and has ballot access to a majority in over 14 states. If you want to retain your "unbiaed" approach or at least appear to be unbiased please reevaluate your definition of notability. Clown Atlas (talk) 14:28, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My definition of notability doesn't matter here. According to WP:NPOLITICS, "Just being an elected local official, or an unelected candidate for political office, does not guarantee notability, although such people can still be notable if they meet the general notability guideline." So far, most of your sources are worthless for notability. The first five, twelfth, and thirteenth are primary sources, which don't contribute to notability. The sixth source is from Ballotpedia, which might be reliable, the seventh and ninth are the same. However, they are from here, which could contribute, the USA Today source doesn't even mention Garrity, and most of the news covering him only mentions him once and aren't on him being the "youngest candidate on a landmark election". Finally, the section on historical solo campaigns is unneeded. OhHaiMark (talk) 14:58, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Clown Atlas. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. OhHaiMark (talk) 14:59, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mark my conflict of interest is only that I put time, hard work and effort into a topic and person of interest who was notable enough to pass under my nose unsolicited in social media gaining my attention. I take personal ding on my integrity, as I have already addressed this issues as noted in the thread previously. Seeing as this person has his Name on the Ballot and has a majority access to votes in over 14 states he is notable. Aside from that he is also the youngest person in recent history to run, and he has made this much headway doing his campaign to have a potential to impact our votes in over 1/3 of our states. Historically these kinds of campaigns never get any traction due to censorship as I appear to be experiencing. I saw this person's invisibility and also the conflict of Wikipedia having several mentions of him as notable for this election cycle yet being rejected on biased opinion at this point. Please see at least Wikipedias Third party link with the candidates photo and information already notable enough. This is Cognitive Dissonance--- If our political system is to at least have the appearance of neutrality, all potentially significant candidates information should be of paramount interest to the American people voting in our elections. I have never met this person, I do not work for this person, and per my research this person has not hired a single person to do anything for him. Thank you for your concern on my position I am a normal newbie making my contribution to this important to the world at large and keeping our entire system open and honest. Thank your Mark for your time reviewing my submission. Take care. Clown Atlas (talk) 15:22, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bré Paletta moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Bré Paletta. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Wikishovel (talk) 08:34, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I thought I could start with sources that span almost 20 years and her band Rye Hollow and the Sale were both played freq on the radio which is noted. As half of this musicians career started during Myspace days I have to go to archives in some instances and planned to find more. There are no sources linked that are the artists they are all outside sources for example the Oregonian, Reverb, Oregon public library and so on. I will locate more sources- please keep assumptions as noted in rules in comments about leaning towards integrity- in line with the rules. I am a writer so I tend to have a penchant for flare which I am working on toning down for Wikipedia's neutrality. This should not have been moved to AfC and should have remained under new page reviewer protocols. Thanks- Clown Atlas (talk) 16:43, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
