Benjamine the thylacine

[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Benjamine the thylacine, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Julian/Gregorian style conversion

[edit]

Please stop the disruption on the Romanov princesses. We report the actual date of their birth, not when will be their birthday according to Julian calendar in the since 29 February 1900. The next time I will block you Alex Bakharev (talk) 05:50, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

blocked

[edit]

I have to temporary block you because I believe you are responsible for the creation of the abusive sockpuppet User:Countmein1990. The duration of the block is 72h. Please do not violate WP:SOCK after your block is expired Alex Bakharev (talk) 02:28, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When your block expires, I hope you will avoid creating more sockpuppets like the two you did to continue reverting the birthdates on the Romanov princess articles. --Bookworm857158367 (talk) 00:16, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They weren't my sockpuppet accounts. My friends in the history club at school were correcting the birthdates, too. And the Romanovs girls weren't "grand princesses." They were called "grand duchesses" to show they were even grander than princesses. I will add their true birthdates to the body of the article, which the admin has already told me I can do, so that people coming on will know their real birthdates.

The correct translation of their Russian title was "Grand Princess" not "Grand Duchess," as it says in the article. I don't think the birth dates are a necessary addition and have reverted them. --Bookworm857158367 (talk) 14:42, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, it was grand duchess. And the admin has already told me I can add the bithdates, so I'm adding them again. At least let people who may read it get their REAL birthdates.

The admin doesn't determine content of these pages. And the correct translation of the title is most definitely "grand princess," not "grand duchess." I have found multiple sources to that effect. "Grand duchess" is the most common English translation and has been in use for centuries, so that is what is used here as the titles of the articles. The dates of birth as they were at the time the grand duchesses were actually born is most appropriate for that article. Your additions really are not necessary. --Bookworm857158367 (talk) 21:50, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
