Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for Image:Neerslag 05061008.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Neerslag 05061008.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 00:56, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Central Europe USDA zones.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Central Europe USDA zones.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:08, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes

[edit]

Hi there, I noticed that you recently created a userbox. However, you created it in the Article namespace instead of the Template namespace. You may want to read up on this to familiarize yourself with them. If you have any questions, just ask me. Thanks. The Thing // Talk // Contribs 13:06, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is it proper for user pages to show up in some categories?

[edit]

Hello Clint.hotvedt: Your user page [[User:Clint.hotvedt/Sandbox]] may be in violation of WP:USERNOCAT. The Category that it appears in, Category:Periods with timeline in infobox, appears to be a maintenance category, so it seems reasonable to allow user pages to appear in the category while development of a page is proceeding. Your user page in question does not seem to be in active development. Do you think you should comment out the code that is putting this page into a category, or bracket it with <nowiki> </nowiki>?

User:Awickert and User:FT2 recently removed user pages from this category. Thanks for your consideration. --Fartherred (talk) 00:10, 20 September 2010 (UTC) altered--Fartherred (talk) 15:55, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since you do not answer my question, I will disable the categoization of your sandbox page by adding a colon to the category link. I hope this is satisfactory. - Fartherred (talk) 23:20, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Dutch-to-English

I would be grateful if you could check quality of google translation (my understanding - National Bank of Belgium agreed to distribute images of the banknotes it has issued using the same rules as euro banknotes) - please reply on http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/File:BEL-500f-rev.jpg Bulwersator (talk) 06:47, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Improving translation support

[edit]

Hi Clint.hotvedt! We are testing some new ideas to provide better support for the translation of Wikimedia projects and we want to hear from the community.

If you are interested in trying some prototypes and exchange your impressions, you can fill the participation form. Once you have filled the form, we'll contact you to perform a short testing session (less than 30 min. in total) during next weeks.

Thanks

Completing a Dutch article about a German village

[edit]

Hi Clint, can I ask you for a favour. Would it be possible that you complete (translate from English) the Dutch article of Twist, Germany. A bit is already done, all other details are on the Englisch or German page. Thank you very much 95.88.99.149 (talk) 00:04, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
