Uploading photos...
[edit]First, thanks for the support of the Boston Panorama. Ok, I upload to commons and it is generally preferred that you do so. You would need an account there. After that, there is a link under contribute and you follow the steps until you upload. I would prefer if you uploaded to commons so that you could use my licensing template (Template:Fcb981c). Alternately, you can just email me the file and I can upload it myself. If you want to do that just send it to: ebaetscher@gmail.com. If you prefer, I can just tilt it a bit myself. I haven't had a chance to do it today but it might just be easiest for me to do that. Let me know. (replying here is fine) -Fcb981(talk:contribs) 22:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Possible edit warring on project article
[edit]There seems to be some issues going on over on the article : Military history of African Americans, in particularly in the section Military history of African Americans#Confederate States Army. Could you take a look at the article's edit history as well as the discussion, Talk:Military history of African Americans, and possibly give some input? Thanks. FPC Question
[edit]Hello Clegs. Regarding you double arch question: If you look closely, under the first large arch, is a small hole, and you can see another arch. This resembles a double arch. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 22:46, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Artifacted
[edit]Hello Clegs:
I just started looking at the best picture candidates and the evaluations.
Most interesting. I have a couple of questions about your comment "badly artifacted" about the Lake Como image.
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Image:LagoSanPrimo.jpg
I can't find artifacted defined but I gather it means pixels that contrast sharply with their neighbours, for no good reason. Is that a fair way to put it?
I looked at Lake Como for this sort of thing, thought the white spots on the water might be, then I realized up close they are much bigger than pixels and probably are boats.
So I'm wondering where the artifacts are on this image.
I hope this is not too much trouble. Thank you.
Best wishes, Wanderer57 (talk) 20:30, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I was just curious about the stitching error you saw in this image. There may be something there but me and user:fir0002 went over it in great detail when I first took it, maybe it's just an ambiguous horizon. Can you tell me specifically where it is? Either way, thanks. Benjamint 07:58, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Invitation to Meetup/Seattle6, a focus group
[edit]Hello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington (Seattle campus), and my group is reaching out to Wikipedians in the Puget Sound area. We're hosting a focus group designed to gather information on what Wikipedians would like to know about each other when interacting on Wikipedia. Our end goal is to create an embedded application that helps people quickly know more about others' history and activity on Wikipedia, and we feel our design will be much more useful if it's based on insights of users like you.
I'm hoping that the chance to help out local researchers, to engage in lively face-to-face discussion with other Seattle Wikipedians, and to contribute to Wikipedia in a new way will entice you to join us. The session lasts 2 hours and snacks are provided. Sessions will be held on UW Seattle campus - directions will be sent after registration. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated!
Willing and able to help us out? RSVP here. Want to know more? Visit our user talk page . Please help us contact other local Wikipedians, too! Commprac01 (talk) 21:39, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
