User talk:ClareCottrell
G'day, welcome to Wikipedia. You have added many links to EuroWeek, and I have removed them because they are inappropriate. For example, a person wanting to read about Security (finance) does not directly benefit from knowing EuroWeek exists; there are many, more relevant, websites for someone wanting to learn about the topic. However, I hope you will not be discouraged. There are people who want to learn about EuroWeek, and we don't have a page about that. Would you like to create an article dedicated to EuroWeek? Also Euromoney Institutional Investor and Euromoney are both very short articles, and I'm guessing you could add more information to those pages. If you want to help Wikipedia, but need some more guidance, you can edit this page (your talk page), and add your questions directly underneath mine, and I will be happy to assist. Cheers, John Vandenberg (chat) 05:54, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Hi John. Thank you for your advice. Yes I would be happy to create a EuroWeek page. It is something I have been working on a little bit. When it is up and running if you feel there are any edits that could be beneficial then please let me know. Sorry you felt that the links were not useful to readers but I thought that it would be good for further reading. But if you feel not then that's fine. Thanks, Clare

License tagging for File:The cover.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:The cover.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of EuroWeek
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
A tag has been placed on EuroWeek, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of EuroWeek and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. This publication could be an appropriate subject for an article, but it really needs to read like an encyclopedia entry, not like a marketing brochure. Please read a little more about our policies, such as WP:NPOV, WP:COI, and WP:NOSPAM Tarastar42 (talk) 04:31, 22 September 2010 (UTC)Tarastar42
- I've pulled this off the deletion queue. It isn't perfect, but it is a good start. Thank you, John Vandenberg (chat) 05:15, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
- OK, maybe my speedy delete was a bit cranky, sorry. I am pretty new at New Pages Patrol, but I really don't mean to bite the newbies! I still think the article needs a huge amount of work to get all that marketing speak out... but maybe I could spend some actual time on it, instead of getting tag-happy. Thanks!
