Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Thank you for your recent contributions. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Hi CityTony, I saw the message on your userpage and I wanted to reassure you that "the wrath of other editors" is not something you need to worry about here. It can be daunting creating your first article - I will certainly never forget my first time! The tags I added to Fred Hammill were part of a process that's used to help improve new articles, and it has already prompted others knowledgable in the field to help with this. One of the mantras of Wikipedia is Be bold!, and whilst things may not be right first time, editing is easy and most things can be fixed. Richard Morton (UK comedian) moved to draftspace

(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Stop marking all of your edits as minor

"Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia — it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Read Help:Minor edit for more information. Poster/timeline on DAN article

Hi I removed the link to the DAN timeline you added to the DAN article- It's not apropreate to just directly link these things like this. (and self promotion is strongly discouraged, assuming it was you who wrote it, given the matching first name.) I've used it as a source however, when clearing up the article so it improves readability. I'd love your expertise in extending the citations in the article if you're up for it?
