Speedy deletion nomination of Super sentai
[edit]A tag has been placed on Super sentai, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. —Ryulong (琉竜) 01:59, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
{{Help me}} Does anyone know of a template to warn a user of STiki that their use of the tool could be seen as vandalism itself? Or any other advise regarding the problem. Thankyou in advance — Chsf (talk) 23:07, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but how do you see the use of STiki as vandalism? If you have a specific user in mind, please tell me so I can further research it. gwickwiretalkedits 01:32, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
- In this specific case the user (Wywin) reverted an edit (of Hello! Project [1]) on grounds of "good faith". The user guide to the tool says the following about "good faith" reverts: "Sometimes edits are clearly unconstructive, but lack the intent and malice that characterizes vandalism. [...] In this case, the change is undone but the offending editor is not issued a warning and the revert is not marked as minor. In most situations the edit summary should be tweaked to provide some explanation." The user did not leave any reason in the eidt summary for reverting the edit, but a rather unclear one at the editor's talk page (User_talk:78.146.79.210), furthermore the edit that was reverted contained new and relevant information to the article (this and the following is of course only my personal point of view, but I used to be a more active editor in a group dedicated to the subject in question), and marking the section in question as in need of a citation would have been much more constructive. Chsf (talk) 12:38, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
- Having tested STiki myself today, I can see why there was never given any detailed reason in the summary, as I so far can't see that it can be done. Still, I think the editor should have chosen "Pass" or even marked it as "Innocent". Chsf (talk) 18:46, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

We hope you enjoy maintaining Wikipedia with STiki! If you have any questions, problems, or suggestions don't hesitate to drop a note over at the STiki talk page and we'll be more than happy to help. Again, welcome, and thanks! West.andrew.g (talk) 06:44, 8 February 2013 (UTC) |
- Reading your talk page, I get a greater understanding of why you tried out the tool. Though reverts of pure "vandalism" are quite straightforward (and need to be, to expedite blocking and other punitive punishment), cases of "good faith" reverts allow for much more personalized and friendlier warnings (so we don't WP:BITE). If a STiki user consistently shows poor judgement in classifying edits, please bring it to our attention at the talk page. Thanks, West.andrew.g (talk) 06:44, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

Image hoax/Image vandalism
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
I'm looking on help to mark an image as a hoax/vandalism, one uploaded and then linked by the same user to the article on David Nemirovsky. After reading through various Wikipedia:-articles on vandalism, hoaxes etc., I tried marking it using the {{image_hoax
, but that only shows up as "Template: Image hoax" (or similar). Thank you. Chsf (talk) 21:16, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Brain Fag Article
[edit]HI!! Im taking a class for college, and we are working on culture bound syndromes. We had to find article on here and put our own definition to the term so we can better understand it. That's why I added that defintion. Could you put my defintion back on there until the 24 or 25, because it is for a grade and I have to linked the article to show that I did the assignment. If my definition was inaccurate maybe you could help me come up with a better one,I know the one I put wasn't perfect but I think it explained what brain fag is especially since I used the DSM-IV as a reference. I just put it in my own words. T.radelle (talk) 22:50, 13 February 2013 (UTC)T.radelleT.radelle (talk) 22:50, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, I haven't looked at the edit, but if you wouldn't mind, could you pop into #wikipedia-en-help connect for a few minutes, and we can have a more thorough conversation there? Thanks! gwickwiretalkedits 23:24, 13 February 2013 (UTC) Just click on the "Connect" link to join the help!
- Thank you for the feedback. My apologies for marking your edit as vandalism, after reviewing the article, I have reverted the revert. Chsf (talk) 10:09, 14 February 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Josh Harris (musician)
[edit]The article Josh Harris (musician) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No reliable, independent sources. A Google search didn't turn up anything useful. No indication that Harris meets the general notability guideline.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 03:27, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Gwyn Jay Allen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Finding sources that mention or describe him is easy, but there's almost nothing that's independent and can therefore be used to establish notability. As such, he doesn't meet WP:MUSICBIO or any other set of notability criteria.
