Non-free image use
[edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to a page, specifically User:ChryZ MUC/test, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:17, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hi again ChryZ MUC. Files such as File:3 Fußball-Liga logo 2014.png, File:Bundesliga logo.svg and File:Regionalliga Bayern logo.jpg are non-free images which therefore means they are only allowed to be used in the article namespace per Wikipedia non-free content criterion #9. It's a good idea to check the licensing of a file before adding it to any article to see whether is is non-free content, public domain or freely licensed. Public domain or freely licensed files can be used much more easily on Wikipedia and may be used in templates, userboxes, or on userpages, etc. Non-free content use is highly restricted and each use must satisfy Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:00, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
- Please do not continue to add non-free image files to User:ChryZ MUC/gc stat. Non-free files such as File:Highland arms.png are not allowed to be used in the user namespace per WP:NFCC#9 and WP:UP#Non-free files. You have been warned about this kind of thing before above in User talk:ChryZ MUC#Non-free image use and in edit sums each time the file has been removed, yet you continue to re-add such content to your user subpages. It's OK to make a mistake once or maybe even twice, but continuing to repeat the same mistake over and over again despite being warned not to do so is going to lead to an administrator being asked to intervene and take appropriate action. I strongly recommend that you check the licensing of files you want to add to your userpages before adding them. Any files licensed as non-free content should not be displayed. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:16, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
- Please note that adding non-free images to tables is strongly discouraged as you have done in 2022 FIFA World Cup. I noticed that you removed the comments for some reason and the use of the images did not violate WP:NFCC#8. I see that you've had issues with non-free image use in the past and I ask that you take the time to review the guidelines before adding non-free images to Wikipedia spaces again. Also, I'll assume that you've read and understood this comment if you choose to delete it. Thanks, please reach out and ask questions before making similar edits. Disambiguation link notification for August 14
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bohemian Palatinate, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Auerbach (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
