Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

Hello, Christopher Tsakonas, I'm Thingg. I noticed you were new, so let me be the first to say welcome and share a few useful links.

Here are some links you might find helpful:

I know they're a little boring, (....ok, a LOT boring) but they will probably come in handy.

Here are two things to remember when editing Wikipedia: cite references whenever possible, and try to set aside any personal points of view.

Now that you have your own user name, you can sign your comments on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically stamp your user name, the time, and the date. That will help other users reply to your posts. You may also want to fill out your user page to tell others a bit about yourself.

I hope this information is useful to you, and I'm looking forward to seeing your contributions to Wikipedia. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me for help, or ask at the Help Desk. Good luck, and happy editing!

[edit]

Proposed deletion of "Alex:Olympics"

[edit]

The deletion of an article you created, Alex:Olympics, has been proposed for the following reason:

No assertion of notability. Also, WP:CRYSTAL.

You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Please read the Wikipedia Conflict of Interest guidelines. The article you created on November 8, S.G.G.S, appears to present a conflict of interest since it supposedly stars Christopher Tsakonas. You may or may not be this person or have any connection to this person other than as an admirer, but when you edit articles related to this person, it gives the appearance of a conflict of interest.

If you are not this person, say so on your user page. If you are not this person and have no connection with him other than as an admirer, say so. If you have no connection at all, say so. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 04:21, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
