[edit]Hello, I'm Dl2000. I noticed that you recently removed content from Jean Meeus without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. [edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Earth. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Femke Nijsse (talk) 15:15, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Excuse me ! But it was absolutely not a "vandalism" on my side. I only had the goodwill to give here in the box the missing value of the mass of the Earth's atmosphere, i.e. 5.148 10^18 kg. Perhaps you can add yourself this figure in the box. Please let a comparison with french wikipedia : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terre Thank you ! Regards, Christophe1946--Christophe1946 (talk) 18:15, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
- That's good to hear. You filled that number out in the parameter for total mass, which, together with some of your other edits, made it appear otherwise. Next time, make sure to provide an WP:edit summary and provide a source, so that we can correct honest mistakes. Femke Nijsse (talk) 18:30, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Jupiter talk page
[edit]Hello Christophe1946 - I am not an expert but have removed the rate of shrinkage from the article and moved the discussion of shrinkage rate to Talk:Jupiter#How_fast_is_Jupiter_shrinking? as I thought that would be the best place so anyone can comment. Also as you seem to know the subject if you have time there are a couple more questions on the talk page you might like to comment on. Chidgk1 (talk) 18:44, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Great conjunction, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Primefac (talk) 12:38, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
I do not understand your critic. I only have modified this sentence : "The last Great Conjunctions took place on May 31, 2000, and on December 21, 2020". I was not the author of this paragraph you have now deleted. All the other modifications on this page are not mineChristophe1946 (talk) 18:05, 28 April 2021 (UTC). Best regards,
Christophe--Christophe1946 (talk) 18:05, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
- It might have been a mistake, which is fine, but in the history and this diff you can see that you removed over 24000 bytes of article text. Primefac (talk) 13:50, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
I apologize to you for these deletions which I can not explain. I hope you could restore the whole previous state of the text of this article which was very excellent. But, by inspecting the old states before the introduction of my sole minor correction ("The last Great Conjunctions took place on May 31, 2000, and on December 21, 2020"), I observe that not all paragraphs are again restored; many are missing in the actual state. What a pity if I am the cause of this new state with a shorter text!Christophe1946 (talk) 15:11, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
