Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

Hello, Christmasiscoming4u, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for experimenting with our encyclopedia. The test edit you made to Rihanna discography worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do.

Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! Yves (talk) 05:13, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Friendly notice.

[edit]

Just as a friendly notice, you do not need to put ~~~~ in your edit summaries. You should only use it when signing your posts on talk pages. In edit summaries, it doesn't add you signature, it just puts in the tildes. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 16:19, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I will learn for next time. Thankyou. Christmasiscoming4u (talk) 16:29, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Don't be sorry. It's just part of the whole learning process. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 16:57, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I thought it was alright. I won't do it again, I'm really sorry! Christmasiscoming4u (talk) 09:24, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's alright, as long as you don't do it again. Also, I would like to let you know I reverted your recent edit on "Who's That Chick?" because WeArePopSlags.com is not a reliable source. Yves (talk) 09:38, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I'm sorry I will learn for next time and not use the website again. Sorry. Thankyou for your kindness. Christmasiscoming4u (talk) 09:45, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's okay. Humans make mistakes and learn from them. For future reference, reliable sources include ones like Billboard or MTV News. Or official press releases or things like that. If you do a Google search, a lot of times you will come across blogs or other gossip sites, and those can't be used here. Yves (talk) 09:50, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

[edit]

Okay, I have had enough now! This is ridiculous. Let's get to the point I was blocked from editing as iluvrihanna24 because I didn't add ONE reference. You decided not to unblock me for ONE mistake even though I said I was sorry. So, I keep trying to edit Wikipedia to show you I am not a distruptive and annoying editor. I created another account which I thought I could not do but it worked so that's not my fault is it? I called myself Christmasiscoming4u and began editing. I added all edit summaries on my posts, all I have done is best: correct grammer, added reliable references, created pages and more. By the way look:

Two weeks later, Rihanna gained another no.1 with Only Girl (In the World), making her the first female artist to ever score four no.1 singles within a calendar year.

That's wrong! It's exactly what I had been clearing up when I was able to edit - that's IT! It should be number one instead of no.1! And do I see a source - NO! So how come random people can come on to here and add un-referenced material and not get blocked when I am a normal boy trying to be helpful by updating grammer and information on Wikipedia? I don't think it's fair. Can't you just see for heaven's sake I made ONE mistake and I am truly sorry, I'm fed up of trying to proove my innocence! Just look at some of the articles I have added to:

Before: During the summer, Rihanna collaborated with rapper Eminem on "Love the Way You Lie", which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as other countries including Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway and Sweden.[79] The song became Rihanna's seventh number one hit single on the Hot 100 of her career, making her the female artist with the fifth-most number ones in the chart's history.[11] In August, 2010, a wax figure of Rihanna was unveiled in Madame Tussauds in Washington D.C..[80]

Rihanna released her fifth studio album, Loud, on November 16, 2010.[81] Its lead single, "Only Girl (In the World)", was digitally released in the United States in September 2010.[82] After many weeks, the song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Rihanna's fourth single to ascend to number one in 2010, making her the first female, and first artist overall since Usher in 2004, to hit the top that many times in a single calendar year. Rihanna also moved to the forefront for most number ones in the millennium (since 2000), as the song is her ninth track to lead the list. "Only Girl" also reached number one in many other countries like Australia, Canada, Italy, New Zealand and the UK.[83][84][85] The album's second single "What's My Name?", featuring rapper Drake, also reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Rihanna's eighth number one hit single.[86] Although it was the second single from Loud, it reached the top spot before the first single, "Only Girl (In the World)" making it the first time in Hot 100 history that an album's debut single reached number one after the second single.[87] Rihanna also released a self-titled book,[88] and is currently working on Peter Berg's film, Battleship, scheduled for release in 2012.[89] On October 20, 2010, Rihanna announced that she was parting ways with manager Marc Jordan and will henceforth be managed by Jay-Z's Roc Nation Management.[90] She is also starting her own company, Rihanna Entertainment, in which she will "merge all of her businesses including music, film, fragrance, fashion and book ventures".[90]

After: The album's second single, "What's My Name?", featuring rapper Drake, also reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.[91] Although it was the second single from Loud, it reached the top spot before the first single, "Only Girl (In the World)" making it the first time in Hot 100 history that an album's debut single reached number one after the second single.[92]

I added references and before even though it was weeks after What's My Name? has reached number one on Billboard Hot 100 no one had posted it, but I did. Before, it was in the wrong tense but I corrected it into past tense.

Please Wikipedia, can't you see? I am innocent and just want to contribute to Wikipedia again. I'm sure Jimmy Wales would see this and agree with me. Please I am innocent!

Look

[edit]

I added this last week on Who's That Chick?:

For the issue dated November 29, 2010, "Who's That Chick?" debuted in Australia at number 36. (with a reference)

No one has updated this snce with any other charts - I would if i was still an editor. Instead it has now been changed to:

For the issue dated November 29, 2010, "Who's That Chick?" debuted in Australia at number 18.[7]

THAT'S WRONG!

I am trying so hard here Wikipedia! Christmasiscoming4u (talk) 11:39, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not ridiculous at all

You've been told that you aren't permitted to edit. I have no idea why you think I was joking. You are not permitted to edit.—Kww(talk) 15:56, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
