A tag has been placed on Draft:TAKACHIA, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Christina Elizabeth Grace. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:58, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Draft:Takachia, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Christina Elizabeth Grace, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Christina Elizabeth Grace|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:19, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for advertising or promotion.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:46, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Jimfbleak,
I believe I may have written some stuff which contains promotional materials, so I do wish to change those and put up my page again. The page that I am creating is to help people understand more about this brand, not to promote the given materials on the page. I apologize for writing stuff that may have crossed the line too much, and I do wish to change it if I was given another chance.
Thanks, Elizabeth. Christina Elizabeth Grace (talk) 05:11, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) If you wish to appeal your block, you need to format your appeal as instructed in the block notice above, otherwise it won't appear in the administrators' feed.
This would also be a good time to disclose your relationship with Takachia. (I queried this yesterday twice, but you chose to ignore my queries.) Promotional editing is bad enough; undisclosed conflicts of interest only make things worse. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:20, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the criticism, I understand the mistakes and how I wrote my pages wrongly. I understand I was in the wrong, but I do wish that I have the ability to edit again. I will not make edits about promotional materials anymore, and my edits will be used to make clearer information and help others understand certain knowledge better. Again, I apologize for writing promotional materials and not reading your messages properly. Christina Elizabeth Grace (talk) 05:31, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It wasn't criticism, it was advice: if you wish to appeal your block, you need to construct your appeal so that an administrator actually sees it.
And I wasn't asking you to apologise, I was asking you to disclose your relationship with Takachia. You cannot edit your user page to make a formal disclosure while you're blocked, but you can edit this page to make your disclosure here, in your own words. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:40, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alright sure, I'm finished with my disclosure and statements. Christina Elizabeth Grace (talk) 09:24, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DISCLOSURE AND STATEMENTS:

I would like to ask for an unblock from Wikipedia editing, as I know I have been blocked because I have edited promotional materials on Wikipedia. First, I would like to disclose my relationship with TAKACHIA. I work for a bicycle company that sells this certain bicycle, and was told to make a page for it. It's a well known bicycle company in Singapore, but not many people know about the company itself other than it sells all types of bicycles. So I was tasked to write about it so that people can understand more about the company. I have made changes to the draft, and would like to be able to post it again.
