Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello ChristTrekker! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Tom Becka - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

I have nominated Ulgoland, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ulgoland. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. avs5221 (talk) 04:04, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Talkback

[edit]
Hello, ChristTrekker. You have new messages at Talk:List of web browsers for Unix and Unix-like operating systems‎.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

mabdul 00:07, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Brennen Caldwell has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails Wikipedia's notability guidelines for fictional characters.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Neelix (talk) 13:52, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ku Klux Klan

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Ku Klux Klan. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. TFD (talk) 18:41, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How very interesting, that I get this notice on my Talk page, but the other editors involved do not؟ ⇔ ChristTrekker 16:55, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You were the only editor who made 3 reverts. Another editor reverted you twice and no other editor made more than one revert. You could have been blocked had you made a fourth revert. Furthermore the editors opposing your edit had set up a discussion that you chose not to join.[1] TFD (talk) 17:19, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So I was ganged up on, and that makes me the bad guy. Gotta love Wikipedia.
Hadn't noticed the Talk discussion. When I revert and start a discussion about it, my comment says "see Talk page" as a courtesy. Oh well. Guess I'll go over and check that out. ⇔ ChristTrekker 17:28, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:13, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

GMT, orthographic map's tutorial

[edit]

Please, add a tutorial in the talkpage of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Maps/Conventions/Orthographic_maps ;) I don't know what I have to look for, which direction, out of GMT and find some political database. Yug (talk) 13:39, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
