A tag has been placed on Scottish Rugby: the future requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The article Steven Turnbull (rugby union) has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hello, Chrispalmer10, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Harry Leonard (rugby union), is copied from another Wikipedia page, Harry Leonard (rugby union. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:00, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited 2012–13 Edinburgh Rugby season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Newcastle (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

License tagging for File:Cornell du Preez.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cornell du Preez.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:05, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:David Denton (rugby).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. noq (talk) 12:05, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have again tagged the image page for deletion - you did not actually upload the image but that does not matter. The image is copyrighted - whether you believe that permission would be granted if we asked for it does not mean that it is not copyrighted. The procedure at WP:donating copyrighted material should be followed if you are the copyright owner. noq (talk) 15:37, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve 2014-2015 Edinburgh Rugby season

[edit]

Hi, I'm Epparadox. Chrispalmer10, thanks for creating 2014-2015 Edinburgh Rugby season!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. There are several broken wikilinks in your recently created article. If you would like to improve the page you could remove some of these to avoid confusion of general viewers.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Epparadox (talk) 11:03, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 2014 Scotland rugby union tour of the Americas and South Africa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Hison Here (talk) 12:48, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Chris Dean (Rugby union) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

yet another negative message, sorry

[edit]

Hi Chrispalmer10. I'm sorry to see all the negative messages you have received. I came here to deliver another, about the 2010–11 Edinburgh Rugby season and 2015–16 Edinburgh Rugby season articles. I came across them and think they don't provide enough context to be Wikipedia articles, and I put "Speedy Deletion" nominations on to them. You are free to object to the Speedy Deletion (and you should object if you think the articles are about notable topics). I would appreciate if you would improve the articles. When I came across the 2010-11 one, I had to object though, because it does not even say that it is an article about any specific team, in any specific sport, besides in the title. There is not any assertion of encyclopedic importance. But now I am a bit sorry because I see you are a new editor. It can be hard to get started here. Sometimes it's best to start by making small edits at existing articles, and watching and learning how it works here. Also the wp:TEAHOUSE is a good place to visit and get help. --doncram 05:39, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 2010–11 Edinburgh Rugby season requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or an organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Aedis1 (talk) 20:27, 20 August 2015 (UTC)== Glasgow Academy Players ==[reply]

Hi Chris, On your edit that the Academy players haven't been assigned to Glasgow Warriors yet... is this correct? Glasgow Warriors took several players assigned to the Glasgow district to Clermont to play in a pre-season friendly. From the Warriors website: "The match saw BT Sport Scottish Rugby Academy Stage 3 players Nick Grigg, Ali Price, Scott Cummings, Robbie Fergusson and Andrew Davidson come off the bench and play their part with Townsend pleased by how they fared against experienced opposition." It would be weird if they did this if the Glasgow district players weren't already theirs!

Hi Chris, You state that Academy players for 2015-16 haven't been assigned to Glasgow yet. We are now approaching the middle of the season! I suggest you check Glasgow Warriors website.

http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/robbie-fergusson http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/nick-grigg http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/ali-price http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/scott-cummings http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/andrew-davidson http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/kieran-mcdonald http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/james-malcolm http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/cameron-fenton http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/matt-smith http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/george-horne http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/callum-hunter-hill http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/lewis-wynne http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/michael-dewar http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/glasgow-warriors/player/bruce-flockhart

Not only have these players been added as Glasgow Academy Squad but Glasgow Warriors have now loaned out George Horne, Robbie Fergusson and Andrew Davidson to London Scottish. (Also on Glasgow Warriors website). All these players have been added to the Warriors squad for some time; I expect Edinburgh to have done likewise with theirs.

They are also all pictured wearing Warriors kit on Glasgow Warriors.com.

Hope this helps.

Hello, Chrispalmer10. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Scottish Rugby Schools Conference".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Azealia911 talk 09:47, 19 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Lewis Carmichael has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
