AfD nomination of Just In Case (Anye Elite song)

[edit]

I have nominated Just In Case (Anye Elite song), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Just In Case (Anye Elite song). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? LegoTech·(t)·(c) 19:12, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Ros0709 (talk) 20:10, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Ros0709 (talk) 21:41, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please

[edit]

You are not doing yourself any good; removing the AFD tag is not going to stop the process, it is going to get you blocked. Please argue for the article's existence at the AFD discussion, but if you remove the tag from the article again, you will be blocked from editing. --barneca (talk) 21:44, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your email

[edit]

In response to:

You have consistently harassed me and questioned the integrity of my contributions when the information I posted is not questionable. Everything I posted is true. This a local artist. Just because he's not known in Europe doesn't mean the information is inaccurate. I am reporting you to the administrators of this site.

Please go ahead.

The issue is not whether what you have posted is true (no-one has accused you of lying) but rather whether the article subject meets the Wikipedia requirements for inclusion. These standards, to which you have been directed, were reached by concensus amongst the WP community and now the community will discuss whether they have been met. This is not a sleight on your integrity or even the quality of your articles; it is simply determining whether WP wants articles on those subjects or not. You are a member of that community and are welcome to contribute to the debate. Removing AfD notices in order to stifle debate is counter-productive. Ros0709 (talk) 12:06, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In response to a follow-up email received:

Please state specifically what about the information challenges the standards of WP. I have seen many articles just like it on this site. I have cited credible sources about the artist I posted. I agree that there are not many articles about the song, but this is a new artist. He is well known locally in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

(1) In my opinion, WP:N and WP:MUSIC primarily need to be met, with WP:V a close runner. (2) I am not prepared to enter into a private email discussion; I will monitor your responses here and respond, but will not respond further to email. Ros0709 (talk) 13:14, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The artist, Anye Elite, has been interviewed and mentioned in a article for the Southern Voice at: http://www.southernvoice.com/2007/2-16/locallife/feature/6530.cfm. The artist has also been interviewed on two local radio stations: WRFG 89.3FM, and WVEE 103.3FM. Radio interviews are not available online which makes deletion for this unfair. I do realize that personal communication is not an acceptable source here, but radio interviews are not personal communication with me. Radio interviews are broadcast.

Make these points at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anye Elite; they may promote further discsusion and the closing admin will take them into account. Ros0709 (talk) 13:47, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers

[edit]

Hi Chocolatecbj,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
