Gregorian calendar
[edit]Yes, you are right and correct to raise any concern. It was with great reluctance and after best part of 150 years that England adopted the Gregorian calendar. Even then, the wording of the Act that did so went through some serious linguistic acrobatics to try to avoid admitting that the RC church had had anything to do with it. So have you found something in an article [which one? Gregorian calendar, Adoption of the Gregorian calendar, Old Style and New Style dates, Dual dating?] that suggests otherwise? Obviously we don't want to repeat the doublethink but nor should we conceal anything that should be clear. Please advise. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 20:58, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
Recent edit reversion
[edit]Recent edit reversion
[edit]In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.S Philbrick(Talk) 18:05, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
