IEM refs
It appears that you have been using the autofill function to cite NWS text products through the IEM. This autofill does not work properly with these products, though. For one thing it lists Daryl Herzman as the author and his email address as his name. Since all citations of these products have the dame format, I usually just copy-paste them from a previous tornado and fill in the correct information from there. - @TornadoLGS: I usually don't have time to do the entire ref like that. I normally make the ref knowing that others will fix it. Additionally, I don't quite know what goes into the ref, so I just make sure I put it in. Sorry for the inconvenience.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 01:07, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
Combative edit summaries
I'm not sure what is going on, but edit summaries like these ([1], [2], [3]) are not helpful and do not assume good faith. I don't appreciate comments being made about my edits when I actually take the time to publish the content. You just came in behind and changed what I did, which I'm fine with usually, but you need to cut out the combative edit summaries. Your behavior here sometimes is starting to get old. United States Man (talk) 20:29, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- @United States Man: (1) You said the same thing about my edit ([4]) so that's moot point, (2) I didn't know that was your edits, so you can't necessarily say that I was saying your edits were bad, (3) I do research as well and that was MY interpretation, and (4) that image was the one I put in originally any way. I'm sorry if you feel that I'm targeting you, but I was just changing some things around and that's all. I was in no way trying to say you or anyone else was a bad editor (I've also had a pretty crappy week, so my mood is TOTALLY shot, but I'm not using that as an excuse).ChessEric (talk · contribs) 21:51, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- I knew you’d bring up that one summary. When one sees that enough they tend to get tired of it and give it back. You also use the excuse of being stressed or having a bad week quite regularly, so I’m glad you realize it isn’t an excuse. I just said you need to watch your edit summaries because me nor anyone else here appreciates the tone. And as far as the one edit, I believe you did know it was me because we’ve had that particular discussion about pulling random hole in the walls from DAT before. United States Man (talk) 21:59, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- Also, if stress causes you to behave combatively toward others here, a wikibreak is always an option. United States Man (talk) 22:01, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- @United States Man: True. I probably need one of those (or at least a reduction in how much editing I'm doing). I'm sorry about that. I really do want to get along with you, but I'm not the best with social/interaction skills at times, especially when I'm stressed out. Please forgive me.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 00:00, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
