Notes

I used to keep a page to put all my barnstars on; but I no longer keep that update. I very much appreciate all the kindness shown to me by these things, but I just felt that I no longer wanted to be one of those "Look what I got/did" kind of people. They do all end up in my talk archives, so it's not that they are not saved, simply that I don't devote time to displaying them anymore. For the same reason, I also will very seldom nominate anything I work on for DYK, GA, or FA - I just don't care to be a collector of such things. I will be more than happy to help anyone through the process of such things, but the credit belongs to them. As I said, each time I get a kind word or star - it honestly does touch my heart. So please don't be offended if you run across some obsolete page where your own efforts have not been posted.

On the other hand, I remember how those things make me feel; so I will be making an effort to offer the stars and kind words to others. Below are SOME of the ones I've done, but there are times I've offered one and not remembered to post it. Also, I tend to create my own barnstars as they seem more personal and specific - so some of the recipients of those things may be found on the talk page of that particular template page.

One last note: Anyone who runs across any of my templates is fully free to use, copy, give or display these things. Any comments, complaints, thoughts, ideas, suggestions, or idle banter is welcome in the discussion section below:

Kudos Given

I try to be generous in my praise and thank you's; but, to be honest - I haven't really gone to the trouble of passing out Barnstars as much as I probably should. I've done it a couple times, if for no other reason than to learn how to do it, and usually after someone has gone to great lengths to help me out personally. I'm every bit as flattered when someone takes the time to say thank you, and I hope folks accept that in me as well. As such, here's a list of "kudos" I've given. And I'm working on it more. Note: I did not really keep accurate records, so I may have missed a few.

  1. User:Huntster - no way I could put in to words the time and effort this user has expended in helping me here.
  2. User:J.delanoy - vandal fighter, but I tried to find something originala
  3. User:Chzz - after he spent literally hours chatting in IRC with me about TCP/IP, protocols, stacks, etc. His lack of pomposity is impressive.
  4. User:rootology - awarded the "Dual Boot Barnstar for communication and equality work here
  5. User:Buster7 - Awarded the Friendship Barnstar for his efforts to welcome and defend his fellow wikipedians here
  6. User:Royalbroil - for taking me in off the streets so to speak, and for leading the NASCAR projects, as well as DYK
  7. There was another one, but I don't remember who ... lol
  8. User:Juliancolton the User:Ched Davis/templates/communication given here
  9. User:LessHeard vanU: The barnstar of integrity for his RfA re-confirmation here
  10. User:Pedro - good leader of Wikipedians
  11. neuro.. dual boot
    • Huntster .. there simply are not enough kudos to give this guy.
  12. decltype (admin. barnstar)
  13. Malleus Fantorum
Users I should give one to
  1. User:TechOutsider - good work in the Norton computer areas
  2. User:Fughetinaboutit - I'll have to check the spelling, but has helped a lot in the copyedit area

I'm sure there's more, and I'll try to move the lower list to the upper list as time permits

go figure. 200 edits, I've reverted and rolledback numbering in the thousands. hurmpf. Oh well?
