Darwin noted that population growth would lead to a "struggle for existence" where favorable variations could prevail as others perished.

In this NPOV sentence, the user is simply stating one of Darwin's claims from Origin of Species. I was initially going to use another sentence where the user claimed Darwin was critical in a transition in evolutionary theory, but when I compared the two I felt the user that claims he was vital in the transition is obviously saying his opinion. Although this is probably true, it is clear he/she is espousing their opinion. The text I copy/pasted on the other hand is simply a citation.
