A tag has been placed on Paul Duggan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of Paul Duggan

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Paul Duggan, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Article about a dubiously-notable persons consists primarily of unverifiable claims.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.  X  S  G  08:22, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please be aware that I'm monitoring your behavior and suspect you of sock-puppetry, which is forbidden in Wikipedia. I will pursue your banishment should you use any account other than Chato08 to contest the removal of the Paul Duggan article.

Finally, in all seriousness, why are you contesting this article's deletion? It's not encyclopedic in the slightest, Paul is hardly notable, and deletion of the article is virtually assured. Please don't waste our time.  X  S  G  08:35, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! It looks like you came to your senses about Paul Duggan. Thank you! If you need any assistance toward editing Wikipedia or want to bounce ideas off of me (like, say, notability of people who you'd like to create articles about), please don't hesitate to ask me. Also, if it turns out that one day Paul Duggan becomes notable enough for a Wikipedia entry, it'd be a pleasure to help you out in creating and defending it.  X  S  G  09:16, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I contest this. It appears to me that the editor came to his senses regarding Paul Duggan's notability and blanked the page to enable us to CSD it. If I'm correct, blanking the page was very helpful, and I appreciate it very much.  X  S  G  09:14, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:PaulFDuggan.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
