{{helpme}} I would like guidance on whether or not it would be appropriate to establish an entry entitled, "Suicide of Tyler Clementi," the Rutgers University student who recently committed suicide. There are similar pages for suicides of other victims of cyber-bullying, (see: Suicide_of_Megan_Meier, Suicide_of_Ryan_Halligan and Death_of_Phoebe_Prince). I do not want to violate the policies regarding notability or recentism, but there seems to be a precedent for establishing such entries. Additionally, if there is a better way for me to have asked this question than using helpme and my talk page, please let me know. Thanks in advance for your assistance. I have great sympathy, because I also view this as an utter, tragic waste of a young life.
Sadly, it is not appropriate for Wikipedia. We have a policy regarding 'people only notable for one event', and it would fall foul of that; WP:BLP1E.
However - I have already written an article for our Sister website, Wikinews - so please see Wikinews:US undergraduate commits suicide after 'outing' via webcast and help improve that page.
