Hear it is then. There was no need to change regard to endorse. Regard is clear in its meaning i.e. they do not believe it. What does endorse mean? They think it may be true but are not sure? This ambiguity is what makes it weaseling and it is not needed. As for the other change I have commented on the article talkpage.--Charles (talk) 10:48, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

It was correct, but not completely clear to say they "do not regard the Book of Mormon as a work of ancient American history." Per the definitions below, you may see that the definition of regard does not fit the sentence as well as the definition of endorse.Jaredkunz30 (talk) 18:10, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Per Merriam Webster, regard means:
