Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Tmcom071007.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 10:43, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In reply to your post at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, I don’t see any media copyright issue with Charles Boyce. If you are inquiring about the tags at the top of the page, they are telling you:

  • You must provide references to reliable sources; so that people can verify the facts you assert. You have not provided a single reference. You should provide a reference for each place where “[citation needed]”appears. This is all the more important because:
  • You are writing an article about yourself. When you write about yourself, you are not neutral. If you are notable enough to have an article in Wikipedia, there ought to be some neutral person to write an article about you.

One thing that you could do if you want is to move the article from article space to your user space (i.e. make your user page). The requirements of verifiability and neutrality do not apply to user space. But then, of course, it wouldn’t be a Wikipedia article. --teb728 t c 00:44, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Syndicated cartoonist, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Salona (talk) 06:40, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Charles Boyce has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

References do no demonstrate meeting WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
