I just realized that the Jeffrey Lord article was deleted after a community discussion a couple weeks ago, I'm talking with an Admin at the moment to see what we should do about that. For now the Jeffrey Lord (Author) article is up but I deleted the redirect to comply with the AfD until we know. Jamesofur (talk) 00:29, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Hello there. I see that you are trying to revive the Jeffrey Lord article that was deleted per community consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jeffrey Lord just a week ago. I am the one who nominated that article for deletion and I am also the primary author of the Jeff Lord article. I have no objection if you want to try and revive that page, but I don't think Jeffrey Lord (Author), as it stands now, would survive another AFD. Check out WP:N for information on what is required to prove notability.
You will need to locate more sources describing the use and importance of the pseudonym. Simply listing the books written under that name is not enough. The actual authors behind the pseudonym and the books might be notable, but you will have to find sources describing the significance of the pseudonym.
I also don't think that its current name--if the article were to survive AFD--is accurate. Instead, it should be Jeffrey Lord (pseudonym). --Blargh29 (talk) 02:31, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Jeffrey Lord Article
[edit]Hey again Changling, after talking to one of the admins who was involved last time and thinking about it myself I'm starting to agree that the best course of action may be to delete the Jeffery Lord article and just keep the book article with a possible redirect on the Jeff Lord. It would definitely be better to find more references and I know User:WikiPedant has offered to help when he has a chance. If your ok with that let me know and we can delete the author page.Jamesofur (talk) 06:21, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- I have beefed up Richard Blade (series). You might want to read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (writing about fiction) and check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Science Fiction. Good luck.--Blargh29 (talk) 05:52, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Thank you. The author/pseudonym is relevant only because of the series (although Roland Green- who wrote 28 or so of the 37 books- has an entry at http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Roland_J._Green). I do think the Blade series itself should have an entry, though (I did put up a start of one). A redirect from "Jeffrey Lord" searches to "Richard Blade (series)" seems fine, as it leads users to the main article and authorial information. --Changeling13 (talk) 17:36, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
