Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Afghan National Anthem, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Baloch. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

RFD nominations

[edit]

Please review the edits you are making with your alt account. The instructions at Template:Rfd say you should also be adding a pair of curly brackets at the end of each page. -- John of Reading (talk) 05:54, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@John of Reading:Thanks, but I cannot find a way to both append and prepend text in AWB, please forgive me on this. - TheChampionMan1234 05:56, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As long as you are going to fix them all, it should be OK. -- John of Reading (talk) 05:57, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@John of Reading:Pardon me, but could you or someone else properly tag the redirects listed at User:TheChampionMan1234/Main_Page_Redirects for me, because I don't know how, AWB is too confusing sometimes, I am not sure about the alt account - TheChampionMan1234 06:01, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I think your best bet would be to undo these edits and then nominate just one of them as a test case. -- John of Reading (talk) 06:18, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

RfD

What is the value of deleting redirects? All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 02:36, 21 August 2015 (UTC).[reply]

To help people search. There are a list of criteria for when to delete, at WP:RFD#DELETE. Si Trew (talk) 07:29, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@SimonTrew:, read my user page. - TheChampionMan1234 07:35, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I think you have too much on your user page that should be in more public discussions. Si Trew (talk) 08:49, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I just decided to put those stuff there recently. - TheChampionMan1234 08:50, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

regarding deletion of page Ammad Azhar

[edit]

Hello TheChampionMan, Im new to this so please pardon my delay in understanding wiki. I still find it a little less user-friendly. The article or a biography of Ammad Ammad was authentic and more proofs/sources can be provide. I was out of town so couldnt log in earlier and later i found that the page is already deleted. Please undelete it and i can provide necessary references as required. Will truly appreciate the kind gesture. Regards Shafaqammad (talk) 06:13, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an admin, so I can't help you with that, please visit WP:DRV to get assistance from an admin, also please provide reliable sources cited properly to confirm notability of the subject. Thanks. - TheChampionMan1234 07:55, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

(haven't worked out how to do barnstars yet).

I got a pingback from you a few minutes ago saying you had added at RfD but I can't see that you did. But in the meantime, you are the champ, I should like to thank you for all your hard work at RfD and to make the encylopaedia better, it truly is a pleasure to know you, for all the gnomework and bits and pieces that you do in the background, I for one appreciate it and notice it, but you are so wery umble. Si Trew (talk) 07:09, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@SimonTrew:, here is what I wrote, with the stuff above and below (perhaps I had put it in the middle and you didn't notice:
Extended content
Well I just bash em in and see what comes up, since Wikipedia's search engine was famously rubbish, but it has got a bit better over the years. I tend to go via Special:Search and do it so you get the full title and not just articles that start with those, but for the ones above, I just bashed em in and see what I got. But on the other hand I kinda do it out of woodware so to know that Queensland and Northern Territories Air Service is a redirect to Qantas, for example. Si Trew (talk) 06:53, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

::That is somewhat wrong, as according to the article, it stands for Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services, there are again, lots of ones, but I'd say keep without a doubt. (BTW, did you know what it stood for before you checked that?). - TheChampionMan1234 07:00, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What, checking stuff? That is not the Wikipedian way, surely, we don't have to be WP:RS or anything like that surely? No I just whacked it in and that is what I got. I thought it was Aerial not Air, but since you ask, where do you think Quantas goes? Unless it is an ubermench territory in Australia that they are keeping hidden from us... Queensland, Northern Territories and shh that other one (don't mention it) would be a great name for an airline. Si Trew (talk) 07:23, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Surely, "only to show", we can't be doing with split infinitives. :) What should we do with these then? Si Trew (talk) 06:47, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That is exactly what I am wondering, but, like I said, I would like to consider some options, unlike the Qantas.xx redirects, they have a target that seems somewhat appropriate. - TheChampionMan1234 06:51, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@SimonTrew: I have no idea what that meant, lol. - TheChampionMan1234 07:17, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@SimonTrew: "great name for an airline, lol, I guess the name is not as great as the airline itself, lol, from my own experience. - TheChampionMan1234 07:27, 7 September 2015 (UTC) [reply]

@SimonTrew: I am somewhat offended by this, I'm serious here, I didn't take it that seriously though, if you ever get a chance to come here (maybe you have), you might change your mind, (I'm no Aussie nationalist or patriot, just a little offended by this). (btw, what motivated you to write this, I will now hide this - TheChampionMan1234 08:14, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I sincerely apologise. I didn't even know that you were Australian and still don't know if you are or not. It was australian singers who dod a parody of "Advance Australia Fair" on Ned Sherrin's Saturday morning show on BBC Radio 4, deliberately cocking up or mishearing all the words. I did not meen to offend you, or any Australian, just that it was just well done as a parody of a song, and should be included in the Innes Book of Records. I am sincerley sorry that I offended you, that is the last thing I should want to do. Si Trew (talk) 08:40, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@SimonTrew:What? Do you never read other people's user pages? I always do, how come you wrote that if you didn't know where I live? - TheChampionMan1234 08:46, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
nO, I don't read other people's user talk pages. I just take people as I find them. Now, you can accept my apology or you can do another thing which ends in "off". The discussions about Google language redirects should be at the RfD for google language redirects, not at your talk page. Si Trew (talk) 08:52, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Regional Airline listings.

[edit]

Hi,

I've asked a few questions by starting a discussion at here. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated. 124.170.169.182 (talk) 08:05, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to have a go at this Champ, but have two kjob interviews so a bit busy. But I will have a go and offer it for your consideration. Are we doing small aircraft or small airlines cos I can think of Beechcraft and so on for small aircraft, but I think you want small airlines, not aircraft. Si Trew (talk) 16:37, 2 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@SimonTrew:Do you know which type of aircraft you fly on, see regional airline. - Champion (talk) (contribs) (Formerly TheChampionMan1234) 01:27, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I usually do, in case I happen to fall down in the water and need to find the emergency exits. I had the great pleasure, actually, of being on a little beechcraft from Ontario to New York City and we flew all over the centre/center of the city before putting down at some tiny airport in Newark, New Jersey, that was fantastic, nobody could ever do that again after 9/11. Usually yes I do know what plane I am on, I am good like that. Even better, since I worked for several years for what is now BAE Systems on surface-to-air defence I can usually tell what it is from its radar signature. Lockheed C-130s are a great big blob, these are like mites. Si Trew (talk) 01:43, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I am not really that interested in small aircraft like these, my last flight was a short hop from Sydney to Avalon Airport on an A320, I am not a big fan of small aircraft and know pretty much nothing about those. But I have to say nothing beats flying in an A380, I was disappointed because the return journey was on at 747, which was incomparable. (Do people even notice? I guess not.) - Champion (talk) (contribs) (Formerly TheChampionMan1234) 01:51, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the A380 is bloody enormous, its codename in development was the Beluga but I am not sure that stuck, but that was pretty much British built, at Filton. The runway there is about two miles long and you can fly pretty much anything out of there, it is far bigger than Bristol Airport which is tiny, and there have been rumours and so on to make it a civil airport, but it will never happen when it is owned by BAE Systems and leased to Airbus and there are a few other bits and pieces that are less well known... Concorde had its maiden flight from there and the Concorde simulator is amazing it is basically a toy plane on a wire, fantastic technology.
I lived for many years in Cambridgeshire which was essentially an airport during World War II because it is nice and flat well Cambridgeshire essentially is like a billiard table. I actually lived at West Wratting which is about the highest point in Cambridgeshire and Wratting Common] had a fleet of Lancastars (438 Squadron I think) they are big buggers... so the ex staff of the Royal Air Force met pretty regularly there in this tiny village nobody has heard of. Sockpuppet

Hi. You just solicited the involvement of Falongen, one of the worst-offending WP:TENDENTIOUS WP:SOCKPUPPET users I've ever seen, who is also blocked indefinitely. Just letting you know! — Smuckola(talk) 04:54, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Smuckola: I am sorry, I don't understand, I had no involvement whatsoever regarding that issue. I have always been a GF editor and understand the consequences of sockpuppetry. Cheers. - Champion (talk) (contribs) (Formerly TheChampionMan1234) 04:58, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
