[edit]Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Central Girls Football Academy, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:29, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
Unblock me from editing Central Girks Football Academy for the following reasons
[edit]Hi This is my first time on Wiki anyway I’m Ian Dibdin the founder of the club and I was simply adding information to the site for accuracy and extension of information on the club (Academy) Regards Ian Central Dibs (talk) 14:46, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- A CheckUser has found a lack of connection between the accounts, so I have unblocked you. Recently, there has been problematic editing regarding Central Girls Football Academy, including sock puppetry. I'm sorry that I interpreted your edits as being connected to that. However, please have a look at Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines, which clearly apply here. I strongly recommend not editing the article yourself any further and instead making suggestions using the article's talk page, Talk:Central Girls Football Academy. [edit]I understand and will do I guess that I was too enthusiastic to get lots of information on. Regards Ian Central Dibs (talk) 17:12, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
Not sure I'm using this correctly anyway if you can advise that would be useful. I am associated with the Central Girls Football Academy page and would like the following information to be placed on. I am aware that I am not allowed to do this myself as I have an invested interest anyway if we can find a way of uploading the following that would make the page more intersting
I would like to add the following information to our page. I have referenced where possible from the attached links below.
On the actual Wiki Page itself...
Within the box to the right of the page, there are some errors which should be removed or changed.
Nickname we are NOT CALLED:
The Lassies The Cyan
Venue although we do play at Inchyra youth only, the SWPL Team which the page is focused on should read all home games in Alloa at the Indodrill Stadium home of Alloa FC
Ground Inchyra Park, Grangemouth
The link to our website page is the old one the current version is:
https://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/cfa/Home
I would like to enter a list of trophies won by the club, most I have referenced below, if this is acceptable I'll be able to compile a timeline of the cup/league wins etc however not all can be referenced, I do have newspaper cuttings from the local paper The Falkirk Herald, Johnston Press. Their archive is limited and only the original press reports remain for some.
I have also trying to add to our 'about us' page, well tried to find references, however these are limited, I can confirm through other people (coaches at the club) is this acceptable?

Adding Info
[edit]Hi Ian, saw your message on the talk page for the deletion discussion. Please feel free to add any reliably sourced information to the article you wish and remove anything that is unreferenced that you wish to challenge. However, as you seem to be associated with the club, you should ensure you are aware of conflict of interest and neutral point of view requirements. Fenix down (talk) 15:47, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Ian, I'm very interested to hear what references you have for the youth accomplishments: {https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Central_Girls_Football_Academy&type=revision&diff=816135334&oldid=816131208} If you have references I would be happy to add them GlasgowBraveheart (talk) 23:14, 6 February 2018 (UTC)

- Hi Ian. erm i'm not too sure how I could do that. Have you uploaded the image to wikimediacommons? I could try and take one from the website. I'll take a look and get back to you GlasgowBraveheart (talk) 22:57, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:GlasgowBraveheart Thanks I’m sure it’ll give the page a good lift visually Central Dibs (talk) 23:05, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Central Dibs, I managed to upload the crest. It's on the premise of your permission. I think it's a great addition to wikipedia. I would suggest not editing the article yourself as I think it may be seen as an unfair biased. I don't mind updating or looking at any requests you have and there is also the women's soccer task force (see my user page) and other task forces that can help you with any queries or changes you think should be made. If you are updating, please make sure you remain impartial. Your club has done really well and I (as I'm sure do many wikipedians) keep an eye on your media outlets to try and help update the encyclopedia. Keep up the good work! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:GlasgowBraveheart Looks great thanks Central Dibs (talk) 23:22, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
- Guys, I don't think uploading the logo to Wikimedia commons was what you really wanted to do. By doing this you have not just licensed use of the logo on Wikipedia and sister projects but essentially globally for anyone to use for whatever purpose they want.
This is generally a good idea for organisations from a brand protection point of view. I for example could now take that logo and start producing merchandise for it and there is little to nothing you could do.
However, I am not sure central dibs that you could have released the logo into the public domain as even if you are the creator the copyright owner is more than likely the club itself now the logo has been provided for their use.
I would strongly advise that you seek for the file to be deleted at Wikimedia commons as not a free file and reupload directly here on wikipedia. You can do this using the file upload link on the toolbar down the left hand side of your screen and following the wizard which has a specific and simple process for uploading logos.
I can help with this if needed, but you'll need to get the other logo deleted first unless you genuinely intended to release it for free use globally.
As for your editing of the club article, i wouldnt necessarily avoid editing this article. Yes thrre is a potential for conflict of interest buf from what you have been adding so far I don't sed anything that creates an issue but you should be careful. Fenix down (talk) 07:52, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
Central Girls Logo
[edit]Glasgow Braveheart I’ve asked for the logo to be removed, based on the advise of Fenix. Appreciate your help looks as if there in an alternative way of doing it... still finding all this difficult and appreciating any help and advice. Central Dibs (talk) 09:31, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
- I think Fenix down is right. I'll take down the crest and you can upload it using the (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:File_Upload_Wizard) - i took it from:http://www.centralfootballacademy.co.uk/about-us (saved as a .png). I'm not sure of the copyright and free use laws. Maybe Fenix down can help you because I'm not sure if that's what he means. Good luck! GlasgowBraveheart (talk) 22:24, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
- Central Dibs,Fenix down - I could not delete the https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Cgfa_badge.png image I uploaded. I have had to nominate it for deletion. I will remove it from the Central Girls Football Academy page. GlasgowBraveheart (talk) 22:30, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
- Guys, have added my delete opinion over at commons and have uploaded a replacement logo to enWiki with the appropriate licensing and added it to the club article. Fenix down (talk) 10:17, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
