If you have any questions, just click on the Contact Me link after my signature at the end of this section. Alternatively, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}}
before the question.
By the way, when you are writing on a discussion page (or someone's talk page), it is considered good manners to sign your comment... to do this, just add ~~~~
at the end of your comment. That will put your user name (Cecn) and the date/time at the end (or you can click on the icon when you are editing. Never sign on an article page - only on a discussion page.
Your user name
Your user name appears to be that of a company or arganisation, which would be against Wikipedia's User name policy, specifically "Explicit use of a name or url of a company, group or product as a username is not permitted".
You can request a change of user name by following the instructions at Wikipedia:Changing_username.
If you have any other questions, there are a few ways to do this:
- leave me a message on my talk page by clicking on "Contact Me" in my signature
- leave a message on this page by clicking on the edit this page tab at the top of the page, going to the bottom of the edit box, and then typing
{{helpme}}
followed by your question. Someone will be along as soon as possible to help you by replying on this page. - leave a message on the Help Desk - just click on that link, and then follow the instructions on the page which appears.
I am now going to add my signature, using ~~~~

User name
[edit]The user Cecn is aware of the problems with their user name.
The user name they are seeking needs to be usurped, for which I will guide them as to how to do it.
I would ask for any admins to please wait until the 7 days required for usurping has expired. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 00:15, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- Update: Usurping request made (see here) at 00:46, 17 November 2009 (UTC). If successful, the usurping should occur at or after 00:46, 24 November 2009 (UTC). -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 00:52, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Usurping "Funshine"
[edit]Procedure for usurping

The procedures are at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations - they are similar to what you did with the Changing username procedure. The talk page of the target account which you need to edit is User talk:Funshine - just click on that link, then click on "edit this page" at the top of the page, and then at the bottom of the edit box, add the line Then go to Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations and follow the instructions for listing there. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 00:31, 17 November 2009 (UTC) |
- Done - see "User name" section above. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 00:53, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Cecn logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Cecn logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock (TALK) 02:47, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- I have added the fair-use rationale. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 03:49, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Note about COI
[edit]I just wanted to point out that should you usurp, and have your user name changed, this does not mean that you are not covered by the Conflict of Interest guidelines!
It is adviseable not to work on CECN-related articles - however it is not forbidden. The reason why we advise against it is that it is harder to have a neutral point of view when you are close to the subject!
Anyway, good luck with the user name change - I'll keep an eye on the progress! I don't forsee there being any problems, but you never know... the other editor may choose this week to log back into Wikipedia! It's unlikely though!

Re: Hi again
[edit]Message added 20:01, 9 December 2009 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Phantomsteve, is this how I reply to your message? I clicked on the chat link but it doesn't work. Can you advise other ways I can access it? I also left a msg with Mr. E. Sánchez regarding the change in my user name. Cecn (talk) 20:13, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- I have replied to your concern on my talk page; to summarize: your request has been denied because you did not respond to my question in time (you have 7 days to respond); you can start another request now, but make sure to reply to queries as soon as possible. —Duncan (that's me!)What I Do / What I Say 20:40, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi again, again!
[edit]This link should work to let you get to the IRC channels: here.
As Duncan said above, you'll have to go through the usurping again!
To do that, just click here, which will take you to the section above - then click on the "show" in the box titled "Procedure for usurping".
If I was you, when you leave the message at WP:USURP, mention that you are aware that the CoI policy still applies even when you change user name - I can't think of any other questions that you are likely to be asked but make sure that you check the page regularly - remember it only takes 7 days to get the user name sorted.
If you have any other questions, you know how to contact me!

- Hi, I see you haven't edited since your last message on this page. I hope this doesn't mean you've left! When you get back, please feel free to leave a message on this page if you still want to change your user name! -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 19:52, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
The article Canadian Education Centre Network has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- The cited sources do not verify the notability of this organization, and I was not able to find more appropriate sources with my own search.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 22:42, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Cecn_logo.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Cecn_logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 01:14, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
