Hi. When you recently edited Margaret Rutherford, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Palace Theatre, Phoenix Theatre and Blithe Spirit (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello, I'm 5 albert square. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Nigel Harman without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Hi. A June 2016 production is too far in the future. See WP:CRYSTAL. Why don't you post about this production (assuming that it doesn't get cancelled) next spring after rehearsals begin. -- Ssilvers (talk) 03:54, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I just assumed the production was definitely going ahead because various websites (including the Haymarket's) are advertising it. Probably better to wait to nearer the time, like you said. Thank you for your help. (Ccmcr1 (talk) 06:54, 8 June 2015 (UTC))[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Desert Island Discs episodes (2011–present), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Japanese (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Rudolph Walker

[edit]

Hello. I reinstated OBE as the CBE doesn't replace it; the recipient still has the OBE and doesn't lose it on receiving the CBE. Thanks. Cybersub (talk) 14:27, 28 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Actually, when an OBE recipient is advanced to CBE, the letters CBE replace OBE, even though they have both awards.

The Order of the British Empire classes are: Knight/Dame Commander (KBE/DBE) Commander (CBE) Officer (OBE) Member (MBE)

Rudolph Walker has been promoted in the Order from an OBE (Officer) to a CBE (Commander). So his correct title is now Rudolph Walker CBE.

If you do not believe me, feel free to check the titles of other recipients who have been advanced in the Order.

Best wishes. Ccmcr1 (talk) 19:03, 28 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely. He doesn't strictly lose it, but he no longer uses it. It is superseded for all purposes by the higher honour. -- Necrothesp (talk) 23:12, 28 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
