Under the function section, you mention that the protein regulates the hormone prolactin, however I am not sure the average person knows what prolactin does so I would consider adding a hyperlink for this term.

I would also expand the sections on clinical relevance and interactions.

I am not sure if embryonic development needs to be its own section, you might just want to add that information in under function, but give it its own paragraph.

Conservation might not be relevant to the topic you are doing here. If you want to keep it apart of the article, add more information, but I do not think it would hurt to remove the section entirely.

You have a good number of sources for references and further readings.

Overall, I would add more information to the article, but what you have now isn't bad it just needs to be expanded upon.

Peer Review of PITX1 Article

[edit]

Cccinco,

I believe you have one of the most through reference sections I've seen. This, along with your highly structured writing, provides a very strong start for this article. I do believe some sections could be merged, or condensed, to avoid over-formatting the page. The constant line breaks makes reading difficult, and each section has a minimal amount of actual writing. I believe you are well set in reliable data to be able to expand these sections, and look forward to reading further revisions.

Your reference section is phenomenal and definitely provides enough evidence and further reading for people when looking up this topic. I also agree with Logan, I think some of the sections could be combined or expanded on. Right now it looks as if you have a lot of different sections but only one or two sentences in each one. I personally would rather you only have one or two sections that you really talked about in depth and provided a lot of information about for the reader.
