Sorry about that as you've been enthusiastic and productive in previous contest s. Seriously, don't worry about what Gnangarra says, most people seem supportive and he's wrong that there won't be any quality control. Remember that the Dragon contest also had cynical comments before it started.♦ Dr. Blofeld 07:43, 18 October 2017 (UTC)

Hi. This month The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There is over £3000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. Wikimedia UK is putting up £250 specifically for editors who produce the most quality new women bios for British women, with special consideration given to missing notable biographies from the Oxford Dictionary of Biography and Welsh Dictionary of Biography. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate independently this is also fine, but please add any articles created to the bottom of the main contest page even if not competing. Your participation in the contest and contributing articles on British women from your area or wherever would we much appreciated. Thanks.

2017 Vegas eRace

Hello:

I've just started work on this article. I notice that it is tagged to use American English, although I can't see which editor did this in the article's history. I've only just begun the c/e and have already come across and fixed two instances of British English. As the article's creator, are you okay with this? All of the citation dates are mdy which is not standard British usage, but I assume you adopted this format. Please let me know.

Also - this sentence confused me. Was there a qualifying race to determine who could participate and then a second race to determine the pole positions? Can you elaborate.

The race itself was made up of two races: a twelve-lap qualifying race for drivers for the slowest twenty qualifiers and determined positions eleven to twenty for the twenty-lap main race.

Thanks,

Twofingered Typist (talk) 22:28, 5 December 2017 (UTC)

@Twofingered Typist: I happy for all instances of BrEng to be changed to AmEng and have made an adjustment to the sentence that confused you. Hopefully it is somewhat clearer MWright96 (talk) 13:29, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
Noted, I see you've tagged the article, thanks. The adjusted sentence makes sense. I'll continue with the c/e. Twofingered Typist (talk) 13:51, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
