Newspaper

[edit]

I don't know if you're aware of the fact that most newsworthy events do not qualify for inclusion, since Wikipedia, as an encyclopedia, considers the enduring notability events. There is also the matter of relevance to the primary topic to consider. Some of the content that you added to the Ramtane Lamamra and Abdelmadjid Tebboune may or may not belong in the Algeria–Morocco relations, but it certainly doesn't belong in those two biographies of politicians who make weekly, if not daily announcements about different subjects. Your edits have now been reverted twice and since those are WP:BLP articles, I suggest you refrain from reinserting them again. M.Bitton (talk) 17:38, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am aware of the fact that only very few events in the news have encyclopedic relevance. The break of diplomatic relations between neighbor states and also the actions of key people involved, here president and foreign minister of Algeria, seem relevant to me and quite different from regular announcements. But since fellow authors have a different point of view, I added the information to the article on Algeria-Morocco relations.--Casatamca (talk) 15:00, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

March 2023

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Maghreb–Europe Gas Pipeline. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. M.Bitton (talk) 16:31, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have reverted me four times and now accuse me of edit warring. Really? Casatamca (talk) 17:01, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I assumed good faith with you right from the start, and asked you to refrain from edit warring after I started a discussion (what you were supposed to do after being reverted the first time). M.Bitton (talk) 17:03, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mokhtar Didouche moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Mokhtar Didouche, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. There might be more information on this individual in other languages; the article is fine, but clearly very short. I'd improve it myself, but I do not read Arabic.

Hi,

Are you sure that the edits you made to Tayeb Zitouni are to the correct person? French Wikipedia suggests that this is a different politician with the same name — https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tayeb_Zitouni_(1965) vs https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tayeb_Zitouni_(1956) Oravrattas (talk) 03:49, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages.
