Hi Casa blumpkin, and thanks for your interest in editing wikipedia. As an experienced editor, I thought i'd just give you some feedback regarding this edit your made [1] at the article Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays.

Firstly just because something is a current event, does not mean it should be given extra attention on wikipedia. Accordingly i've removed the paragraph you added from the articles intro (which as per WP:LEAD, should only summarise the articles contents), and instead moved it to the articles 'activities' section. You may also find reading WP:UNDUE and WP:NOTNEWS helpful.

Secondly, please do not use bare URLs on wikipedia. Bare URLs are subject to link rot, and also look rather untidy. You should format references using an approved method, such as Template:Cite web. Here's an example of me formatting a bare URL with Cite web, to show you the difference: [2].
