Help me![edit]

Please help me with...Adding an infobox and and image onto the Truprint page. I manage the Truprint brand and need to just add in some key data and I also have updated the content. I would like to update the first paragraph but can't see how to do so..

I've pasted my proposed changes below – and apologies if this is the wrong place to do this! :)

Services[edit]

Truprint offer an online photo printing service. You can order a range of print sizes as well as a large range of photo gifts including photo books, mugs, canvas and more. They also provide free, unlimited photo storage.

Truprint still (as of August 2015) process & develop 35mm and APS films (including digital photo prints) as well as disposable cameras. However they no longer sell disposable cameras or film (stopped 2013).

Customers place films in envelopes provided by Truprint which have an order form printed on the outside, along with a cheque to cover the cost of developing, printing and posting the films. However the core of the Truprint business is now online as film usage declines.

Marketing[edit]

Envelopes used to be made available in places such as railway stations and motorway service stations. This stopped in June 2008. Truprint include one replacement envelope with the returned photos and envelopes can be ordered on their website, or by email, or on their social media pages. Their main selling point used to be being cheaper than high street photo developers, and indeed many other mail order photo finishers. Their main marketing message was a free film with every order placed. This stopped in June 2009. They are now among very few providers in the UK who still process film via mail order and prices have risen as a result of this. They were well-known for writing their prices in large typeface across the front of their envelopes. However this will stop in late 2015 due to mail regulations within the UK.

Hey there! The infobox can be added with the code {{infobox organisation}}, the full list of options you can use it at Template:Infobox organisation. With the information above, it sounds too promotional in tone to add. I would also like to advise you, as you have said you are connected with the organisation, of our conflict of interest guidelines. Mdann52 (talk) 16:51, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

Please help me with...I really am sorry but I dont understand still how to add the info box even after reading that help! :( Also I don't know what to do if I cannot post myself (as manager of the brand) when I know changes need to be made as the content on there is out of date? :)

Pinging Mdann52 in case they want to add anythingThis is something I only suggest under limited circumstances, but it might help to turn on visual editor. Also, it helps to use copy and paste from the infobox page.
Just say you are the manager of the brand on your user page. --I dream of horses If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{Ping|I dream of horses}} to your message. (talk to me) (contributions) @ 15:05, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your username[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created User:Harrierllc/sandbox, and I noticed that your username, "Harrierllc", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Jack Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 09:45, 29 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

So why wasn't that brought up last time I talked to you guys - does this mean the corrections I made will not be accepted?

That depends on if you have a conflict of interest- though I haven't examined your contributions fully; I only noticed that the username seemed to be that of a company. If the contributions are valid, they don't need to be removed- though future contributions should be suggested on the talk page first, and not put in the article directly, if you have a COI. 331dot (talk) 09:50, 29 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I can't answer why it wasn't brought up before, but perhaps the lower case 'LLC' was hard to make out. 331dot (talk) 09:52, 29 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what to do. I just want the info on the company I look after to be correct :( Wiki seems supppppper complicated! So I shall wait and see if gets approved you think - or redo it with another user name?

You should request a new username irrespective of your contributions being accepted. You don't need to create a new username, if you follow the instructions above you can have your edit history transferred to a new username. If you want to have your company name as part of your username, you can format it like "YourName at HarrierLLC" or something similar. You don't have to use your real name, just something that identifies you as an individual user. After you change it, you should review the conflict of interest policy and the paid editing policy (if you are an employee or otherwise paid to edit here). While editing here can be complicated, as long as you indicate a willingness to collaborate with others and learn as you go, you should have few problems. 331dot (talk) 09:58, 29 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OK cool - requested name change following format you suggested!

Comment[edit]

I've read the above, and it's clear that you are only here to promote your company. Your user name just escapes an automatic indefinite block because you attached a personal name to it, but that doesn't mean you can continue to spam. Just a warning that if you continue to edit on behalf of your company, I will impose a permanent block whatever user name you choose Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:31, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
