Edits related to Cindy Jackson
[edit]Carole, I appreciate your desire to correct what you see as misinformation regarding your employer, but I must ask you to cease actively making edits related to her. Frankly there is a conflict of interest for the subject of an article, their friends and family, or their employees or other representatives when it comes to making direct edits to articles. Obviously your input is valued, but it it better placed on the talk page - many of your edits will likely be reverted, as they may be considered vandalism (removal of content on Wikipedia without sufficient explanation and reference may be considered vandalism).
Carole, so while your efforts to represent Cindy on Wikipedia are valuable, please keep them in line with Wikipedia policy. As you claim that you work directly for Cindy as her assistant, you should maintain the same distance (talk pages only) as she would be expected to do when she is either the subject of an article, or is discussed in an article where she is not the subject. If you would like to see content removed - just let other editors know via the talk page, and provide some kind of visible evidence as to why you'd like it removed (a link to an article, a ISBN reference, etc...) - I assure you, someone will take a look at your comments, weigh them and make appropriate edits, if necessary.
A specific note - I reverted your removal of Cindy's name from the list of people known for extensive body modification. Cosmetic surgery is a form of popular body modification, and that is why Cindy is on that list - her entire public persona is related to her enthusiasm for body modification. The list is there to show a range of highly modified individuals, not to focus on those named as freaks or in any manner that might be considered disparaging. Glowimperial 22:03, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Removal of Cindy Jackson's death report
[edit]I removed the report about Cindy Jackson's death from her article (together with your complaint/warning about it) as it was unsourced. As far as I'm aware you were allowed to remove it yourself too, even if there is a conflict of interest as it was unsourced and disputed. -- NathanoNL [ usr | msg | log ] 11:56, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
