Do not create, add, or restore hoaxes to Wikipedia, such as you did with the article EDU. Hoaxes are caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Hoax? I refute that accusation. I admit I don't have experience as a wikipedia editor but I thought I was helping out the community by being the first to add brand new information. Before you call me a hoaxer again, please check the rules for a .int domain
Maybe then you will apologize?
A .int domain is only available to organizations created by Treaties between two or more Governments. (i.e. international recognition).
Not sure where your logic comes from that an organization must also be recognized or listed by the US to be considered internationally recognized.

[edit]I mentioned lack of U.S. recognition because EDU had been listed in an article under "United States" and within a list of US-recognized accreditors. Only US-recognized entities belong in that list.
It's good to see eagerness to add content, but we can't publish articles until the content is verifiable.
I am still bothered by the fact that I am unable to find any indication that this entity is actually authorized to use the edu.int domain. Whois searches identify that domain as unregistered and/or parked. http://reports.internic.net/cgi/whois?whois_nic=edu.int&type=domain indicates that the .int domain server is not responding. Also, I have a concern that the only news media reporting on this are obscure online sources, including websites located in Pakistan and Romania. The formation of a major new international organization typically would be announced widely in mainstream outlets. --Orlady (talk) 20:57, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
I agree and thanks for your comments. This organization is brand new so not a major intergovernmental organization yet. I am sure that once it is listed in the UN Treaties database (can take up to 2 years) then more mainstream media will ensue. Although, the Romainian Newspaper is a National Newspaper so not to be scoffed at.Carnitine (talk) 21:05, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
About the .edu.int url, its possible that ownership has not been changed yet to reflect the IGO owning it. if they became an IGO on 3rd June, its possible. From a logical point of view though, why on earth would IANA point it to them if they didn't own it?Carnitine (talk) 21:09, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
