Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with TV Studio Live. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Oli Filth 02:17, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

TV Studio Live

[edit]

Hello,

Thanks for registering an account and contributing to Wikipedia. I did end up deleting the article TV Studio Live though. I did this because the article made no assertion of its importance or significance. This meant that the article could be deleted on sight by an administrator. In Wikipedia's language, this is called a "speedy deletion". There is a list criteria for speedy deletion at Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion. The specific criteria that the article about TV Studio Live met is A7. The reason for requiring this is that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and nothing else. We don't include articles just to recognize organizations for their service. We do include articles if some third party reliable sources have already recognized an organization by covering the topic in-depth. For example, the article West 49 makes claims of being the largest skateboard and snowboard company in Canada, has partnered with Microsoft for certain sports sponsorships, and has received significant coverage in third party reliable sources. These claims and coverage are listed using references in footnotes to the article.

I'm sure this encyclopedia would include an article on the subject of TV Studio Live, if the subject meets the requirements of Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies), specifically, the primary criterion.

In summary, you'll need to state in the article why TV Studio Live is important or significant, and show that it has received significant coverage in multiple, reliable secondary sources, independent from the subject, establishing this importance or significance.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me again at my talk page. I'll leave you some links below to help you get more familiar with this encyclopedia and its policies regarding content and behaviour, etc. See you around :-) Sancho 17:48, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
