Canvassing
[edit]It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on a biased choice of users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Thank you. Well, you could have asked me directly, instead of bothering User:Spintendo. I would have told you that that report in Bizportal looks more like a press release than anything else; in addition, one wonders why giving a few pennies (because $390,000 is nothing if you are worth billions) to a soccer club whose CEO is married to your sister is "philanthropy". - Hi Drmies. Please accept my apology for not asking you about your edit as the correct first step, and thank you for the explanations of your edit. I will be more careful in the future to follow your advice. I have pinged you on Talk:Adam_Neumann#Reply_5-JUL-2023 to continue the discussion. Carlos for Neumann (talk) 12:37, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
Seconding Drmies. You could also have asked on the talk page, singling Spintendo out is problematic and you can clearly see that your request made them uncomfortable. Remember that editing here, especially when it comes to COI, is a privilege not a right. If you don't do it right you won't be allowed to do it at all.
